Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship of Ministry of Minority Affairs , Government of India for the Minority Communities Students pursuing Technical and Professional Education-2016-17

Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India is offering the Merit cum Means Based Scholarship (MCM) for 5797 economically weaker and meritorious students belonging to Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi and Jain minority communities pursuing Professional and Technical courses.

Online Applications are invited only through “National Scholarship Portal” (website scholarships.gov.in) for Fresh/Renewal Scholarship for academic year 2016-2017.

Applicants /Institutes are advised to go through the FAQ before filling the scholarship application form/Scrutiny of application form. (All details are available on National Scholarship Portal)

Eligibility Criteria :
1. An Indian national student, domicile of MAHARASHTRA will be entitled for scholarship under the quota of MAHARASHTRA only irrespective of his place of study.
2. A student must be bonafide student of Institute.
3. Admission to the course should be through Common Entrance Test or obtained minimum 50 % marks at qualifying examination.
4. Applicant should not avail any other scholarship / stipend.
5. The total annual income of family/guardian should not be more than 2.50 Lakhs.
6. 30 % seats are reserved for girls.

Required Scanned Documents that is to be Online Uploaded :
As per the online filled information by the student for FRESH /RENEWAL scholarship, Detail list of required document will be shown by the portal before finalizing of application form by the student .

Student has to scan their own required documents and upload it (Uploaded scanned documents should be clearly readable).
1. Photograph – One passport size photograph.

2. Educational Certificate – For FRESH- As per the current studying course copy of certificate of educational qualification [i.e. For UG course – Diploma Final year /H.S.C.(12th) , For PG Course- Degree Final Year ] / For RENEWAL – Previous year Mark sheet.

3. Income and Minority declaration – Affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper or income certificate from the employer, if any (School leaving certificate can also be consider as proof of Minority ) or Self Declaration (Format for the same is given on website)

4. Proof of permanent residence – Copy of Domicile Certificate/Aadhaar Card /Election Card etc.
5. Bank Account Number – Copy of only that page of student’s own bank account passbook / cancelled cheque leaf having readable student’s name, IFSC code, Account no.
6. Aadhaar Card Number (UID Number ) – Copy of Aadhaar Card Number ( In Bank , Aadhaar card number should be Seeded / Linked with submitted Bank Details )
7. Institute verification form – Duly Signed and Stamped by the Institute (Printout of Institute verification form will be available on portal when candidate fill the application form)

[Note: After Finalizing duly filled-in online application form, Students may also be advised to take print-out for reference]

Submission of Online Application Form for Fresh / Renewal Scholarship by the student :
On the home page of National Scholarships Portal : ( website-scholarships.gov.in ) for ,
A) Fresh Application:
1st step – Student have to go with the option “New User ? Register Now” , Fill up the application as per the instructions given by the system then click on register button. After registration student will get an “Application ID”.

2nd step -By using received Application Id go with the option “Apply for Fresh” and then fill the subsequent details to finalize the application form.

B) Renewal Application:
Students have to go with the option “Apply for Renewal” and through log-in by using the application id of previous year (Student can also use Forgot Registration ID to retrieve their ID) fill the subsequent details as per the instructions given by the system to finalize the application form.
