Swami Sivananda Memorial scholarship, instituted by the Divine Life Society Rishikesh, is given every year for the students of B. Tech. program. Under this scheme four scholarships (one for 1st year, one for 2nd year, one for 3rd year and one for 4th year) are awarded on need cum merit basis. The value of each scholarship is Rs.24000/-.
The eligibility criteria for the scholarships are as follows:
(1)CGPA score of 7.00 or more till the qualifying semester (JEE score will be considered for 1st year students).
(2)Family income should not be more than Rs 2.00 lac per annum.
Interested students should submit their applications in prescribed format (available at Institute website) to the office of Dean Students Welfare at Prabha Bhawan North Block latest by 25/08/2016.
The following documents need to be enclosed with the application:
(1) Copy of the Grade sheets for all semesters (copy of the JEE score for the Ist year students)
(2)Family income certificate issued by competent authority.
About us :
The college was established in 1963 with the name as Malaviya Regional Engineering College, Jaipur as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Rajasthan, Subsequently; on June 26, 2002 the college has been given the status of National Institute of Technology and on 15 August 2007, Proclaimed Institute of National Importance through Act of Parliament.
The Institute is fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. More than 12,000 students have already been graduated since its establishment.
One student from Assam is studying 1st yr.B.tech in Mangalore. He was admitted in Management quota and he had sponsored by some patriotic members. His father is a daily wager and getting 7500 pm. His mother is cancer patient. Shall this boy can apply?
