Merit Scholarship Plan B+ (MS-B+) :
Under this plan, a candidate qualifies for a 75% scholarship on University and Hostel Fee (MS-B+).
Merit Scholarship Plan B (MS-B) :
Under this plan, a candidate qualifies for a 50% scholarship on University and Hostel Fee (MS-B).
Merit Scholarship Plan C (MS-C) :
Under this plan, a candidate qualifies for a 25% scholarship on University and Hostel Fee (MS-C).
Scholarships awarded under the NU Scholar Search Programme are applicable for all four years in case of the B Tech programme and all five years in case of the B Tech-M Tech Integrated Dual Degree programme, conditional to maintaining the required CGPA of 7.5. The scholarship plan may be upgraded if the performance is better than 7.5 CGPA and maybe downgraded if the performance is lower than 7.5 CGPA. Details of this are given in Table 3.

To qualify for the scholarship as defined TABLE 2 : :
** The candidate should get at least 60% aggregate of five subjects marks each in both Class X and XII Board Examination in addition to the score/rank specified above.
** For aggregate calculation, four compulsory subjects are English, Mathematics, Science and Social studies. Student can choose any fifth subject.
** Candidate will be offered the benefit of the plan most favorable to her/him.
** A candidate applying before the announcement of the class XII results will be offered a scholarship on a provisional basis. A candidate who does not qualify for scholarship at the time of Early Admissions, may qualify based on the class XII marks or any of the entrance ranks as specified above, later on. The final scholarship category will be decided on the basis of the marks obtained in class XII or rank obtained in the Entrance Examination specified above.
** All applications from the ward of the employees of NIIT University (NU) will be awarded 5% weightage in either class X or class XII over and above the marks obtained by the applicant, for scholarship. This would apply up to scholarship MS-B only. The scholarship in subsequent years would be governed by the existing scholarship policy.
Please note that all scholarships are subject to availability and meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee award of scholarship.
Scholarship plans for subsequent years :
The scholarships offered by NU are applicable for all four years in case of the B Tech programme and all five years in case of the B Tech-M Tech Integrated Dual Degree programme, conditional to maintaining the required CGPA. The scholarships may be both upgraded and downgraded based on the actual CGPA achievement. The table below provides the details.
Terms and Conditions for the NU Scholar Search Programme :
** The number of NU scholarships available under this progra mme is limited and are awarded on first-cum first – served basis to the eligible candidate.
** The NU scholarship will be upgraded, downgraded or withdrawn in case the student fails to meet the stipulated CGPA in the year as shown in Table 3 above.
** For the year in which the NU scholarship gets downgraded or withdrawn, the entire applicable fee will be payable by the student within 10 days of announcement of the University results, or July 15 whichever is later.
** Failure to remit the applicable fee will lead to termination/suspension of the student from the rolls of the university.
** A candidate, who has qualified for admission under the ‘Early Admission Mode ‘but has not qualified for the NU scholarship, may apply for NU scholarship again after obtaining the class XII result and/or the Competitive Entrance Examination results. This will enable her/him to get another chance to be awarded a NU scholarship based on the most favorable criteria applicable.
** Candidates, who have taken admission with no scholarship in the first year, may avail scholarship in the second year provided; they secure the required CGPA in the first year.
** The grant of NU scholarship will be at the sole discretion of the University and no disputes will be entertained.
** The University may alter or discontinue the NU Scholar Search Programme at its sole discretion.
