NTR Vidyonnathi Scheme:

Govt.has introduced a new scheme “NTR Vidyonnathi” for providing Professional Guidance for Civil Services Examinations for SC & ST students in the State of Andhra Pradesh by sponsoring selected SC&ST Students to the reputed institutes.

Eligibility:
Age:
A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 37 years on the 1st of August, 2016. In case of disabled candidates (VH/HH/OH), upper age limit is 42 years.

Educational Qualification:
Candidate should have passed any Degree course.

Income ceiling:
Annual family income shall not exceed Rs.6.00 lakhs.

How To Apply:
Eligible candidates who wish to apply have to submit their applications through ONLINE mode only by login into www.ntrvidyonnathi .org.

Entrance Examination:
An entrance examination will be conducted by the JNTU Kakinada to select the students.

Pattern Of Examination:
** The entrance exam will be objective type (one paper only) with 150 questions for 150 marks. Time duration is 180 minutes. answers shall be marked on OMR sheet (with ball point pen (blue or black), Pencil shall not be used.
** Questions will be both in English & Telugu.
** Question paper booklets shall be printed in A / B / C / D series
** Question paper Booklets can be taken by the candidates after completion of the examination
** Filled OMR sheets should be handed over to the respective invigilators

Syllabus:

The syllabus will be the same as the syllabus for UPSC Preliminary examination, which is as follows:
** Current events of National and International importance.
** History of Indian and Indian National Movement.
** Indian and World Geography, Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
** Indian Polity and Governance- Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights issues etc.,
** Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives etc.
** General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio- diversity and Climate Change- that do not require subject specialization.
** General Science
** Comprehension
** Interpersonal skills including communication skills,
** Logical reasoning and analytical ability
** Decision making and problem solving
** General Mental ability
** Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc., (Class X level), Data Interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc., Class X level)

Examination Centres:
(i) The entrance exam will be conducted only at five places viz, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, Tirupathi and Anantapur.
(ii) Candidates have to give their order of preference for the Centres in the application form. However, candidates may note that they may be allotted to any one of the centres mentioned above depending on the number of candidates opting for the centre.

Hall tickets can be downloaded by the students 5 days, before the entrance exam from the Website: www.ntrvidyonnathi.org

Number Of Seats Available For The Coaching Programme:
(i) 700 Scheduled Caste students and 300 Scheduled Tribe students will be selected through Entrance Exam in the State and will be sponsored to the Reputed Institutes in the Country.
(ii) The 700 seats available for SCs and 300 Seats available for STs will be distributed among all 13 Districts among all sub-groups of SCs and STs as per their population, so as to ensure equity among sub groups in accordance with the objective of SCSP and TSP Act.2013, as far as possible.

Allotment Of Students To Selected Institutes:
The students who are selected through entrance exam can be given the option for selecting the empanelled institution of their choice, for admission through counseling, subject to ceiling of seats that will be prescribed institution wise by the Committee.
