ABC Vasishta Scheme

Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Welfare Corporation (ABC) Limited, a Government of Andhra Pradesh undertaking, is introducing “Vasishta Scheme for Coaching for Competitive Exams” (VS-CCS) for the Brahmin students in Andhra Pradesh, for the Financial Year 2016-17.

Under this scheme, ABC will bear the coaching fees and lodging and boarding expenses as per the prescribed process for the selected applicants appearing for Competitive exams for Jobs in Public Sector.

Objective:
To encourage Brahmin students succeed in competitive exams, by providing them guidance and coaching from the approved institutions.

Scope:
This scheme is applicable for students of Andhra Pradesh covering all 13 districts, who aspire to become Public Servants, in the areas of Banking, Railways, State or Central Public Service Commissions, Staff Selection Commission, etc.

Eligibility:
** The student and his / her both parents should belong to Brahmin community and parents should reside in Andhra Pradesh.
** Annual income of Parents / Guardian should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only).
** Should qualify for that particular exam
** Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount under any other Government scheme for the same purpose for the financial year 2016-17.

Application Procedure:
** Registrations will be opened from 16th May 2016
** Eligible candidates shall fill their application online only (andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in) in the prescribed format. (In case of any difficulty contact 1800 102 3579).
** Applications sent in any other means (physical copy, eMail, etc.) SHALL NOT be entertained.

Applicant should upload the self-attested scanned copies of the following documents (in pdf of min 50 kb to max 250 kb size each):
** Aadhar Card of the applicant.
** Caste, Income and Residence certificate issued by competent authority
** Copy of SSC certificate
** Copy of Graduation Certificate
** Andhra Bank Pass book in the name of Applicant
** Passport size photograph (in jpeg format upto 50 kb size)

** Application will not be processed, if the uploaded documents are not in order or not clear and visible.
** After registration, applicants shall check their filled-in application along with uploaded documents for clarity and visibility and reupload immediately, if required.

Selection process:
** Applications will be scrutinized at Central Level
** ABC Ltd has enlisted certain coaching institutions, after evaluation. However, institutions chosen by the applicant will be evaluated and enlisted by the State Level Selection Committee.
** Financial assistance from the corporation shall be available only if the institution is enlisted and any joining now in an institution is at the cost of the student concerned.
** Total duration of coaching should be of minimum 30 days and maximum 3 months. It will be 7-9 months for Civil Services Coaching.

Short-listing, personal interviewing (wherever required) and finalisation of applicants shall be done by the State Level Selection Committee (SLSC), giving priority to the following categories:
** Orphan
** Single mother
** Physically challenged
** Girl student
** Economically very poor

Financial assistance will be provided as detailed below:
** Coaching fee will be paid to the selected institute / student, wherever the case may be.

** Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only) per day for outstation candidates towards meeting costs of lodging and boarding during the training for the entire duration of the training at the end of the training programme, on receipt of attendance, which will be credited into the SB accounts (Andhra Bank) of the selected candidates though online transfer. Account should be in the name of applicant.
