Charaka Scheme For Health Insurance:
The corporation is planning to introduce scheme for Healthcare services to the poor elderly Brahmins in Andhra Pradesh, which is named after ‘Charaka’.

Under this scheme Health Insurance coverage will be provided for the elderly poor Brahmins who are not covered under Dr. NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme and upto a family income of Rs. 2.5 lakhs per annum.
Objective:
To provide Health Insurance coverage for the elderly poor Brahmins, who are not covered under Dr.NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme or any other Government scheme.
Scope:
This scheme is applicable for the elderly poor Brahmins, who are not covered under Dr.NTR Vaidya Seva Scheme covering all 13 districts.
Eligibility:
** The applicant should belong to Brahmin community and reside in Andhra Pradesh.
** The applicant should be aged above 50 Years.
** Annual family income of less than 2.5 lakhs and not in possession of a White Ration Card.
** Should not have availed himself/ herself any amount under any other Government scheme for the same purpose.
Application Procedure:
** Individuals of aged above 50 years will apply online (andhrabrahmin.ap.gov.in). (In case of any difficulty, contact 040-24767879).
** Last date for receiving online applications shall be 30 June 2016.
Selection Process:
** Scrutinising, short-listing and finalisation of applications shall be done by the State Level Committee (SLC).
** Based on the finalised applications, ABC Ltd will approach Insurance Companies for providing suitable cashless services.
Required Documents :
After selecting the Insurance company (service provider), ABC will inform the finalised applicants for uploading the scanned copies of the following documents for every eligible family member:
** Aadhar Card
** Caste certificate of issued by competent authority (MRO / Revenue Inspector)
** Income Certificate issued by competent authority (MRO / Revenue Inspector)
** Proof of Date of Birth
** Passport size photograph
State Level Committee is authorised to make exceptions in the eligibility / selection process and their decision will be final.
