JNMDA Scholarships :
** The Academy provides five scholarships of Rs. 3000/- each per month for three years to the best students of Dance & Sankirtana of Post Diploma Course one each in Raas, Lai-Haraoba, Pung, Ishei & Cholom.
** The Academy provides 10 scholarships of Rs.2000/- each per month for 3 years to the best students of Dance & Sankirtana of Diploma Course.
** Another scholarship of Rs.2000/- each per month are given to the students who stood 1st position in the Annual Examination of 1st and 2nd year of the Foundation Course.

Stipends
** The Academy provides stipends of Rs.1000/- each per month to the students who are coming from outside the States for studying Manipuri Dance & Music in the Academy.
** No students are allowed to enjoy scholarship and stipend jointly.

Awards :
The following gold medals are awarded to deserving students :
** Rajyapal Gold Medal (awarded to the highest mark scoring student of Post-Diploma Course Final Year).
** Lourembam Tombi Gold Medal in Raas (Post-Diploma Course Final Year in Raas).
** Guru Gulapi Gold Medal in Sankirtan (Diploma Course Final Year in Sankirtana).
** Sovita N. Mehta Gold Medal in Dance (Diploma Course Final Year in Dance).
** Khukhu SarkarGold Medal in Raas (Diploma Course Final Year in Raas).

About Us :
The Sangeet Natak Akademi – India’s national academy for music, dance and drama – is the first National Academy of the arts set-up by the Republic of India. It was created on 31st of May 1952.As the apex body specializing in the performing arts of the country, the Akademi also renders advice and assistance to the Government of India in the task of formulating and implementing policies and programmes in the field.Additionally, the Akademi carries a part of the responsibilities of the state for fostering cultural contacts between various regions in India, and between India and the world.
