What is Aga Khan Foundation’s International Scholarship?
Aga Khan Foundation International Scholarship 2025-26 is an opportunity offered by the Aga Khan Foundation to students enrolled in master’s or Ph.D. degree programmes. The scholarship program aims to support outstanding students from developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies, enabling them to pursue higher education at institutions of their choice. The selected students will receive coverage for tuition fees and living expenses for the entire duration of their degree course. Last date of application is 31st March 2025.
Eligibility of Aga Khan Foundation’s International Scholarship
To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must:-
1. Be a citizen of one of the following countries:
** India
** Afghanistan
** Bangladesh
** Canada
** Egypt
** France
** Kenya
** Kyrgyz Republic
** Madagascar
** Mozambique
** Pakistan
** Portugal
** Syria
** Tajikistan
** Tanzania
** Uganda
** the United States
2. Be enrolled in a master’s or Ph.D. degree at a reputable institution
3. Have excellent academic records
4. Have constructed a thoughtful, reliable, multi-source funding plan
5. Possesses strong professional experience, extracurricular achievements, volunteer contributions, and leadership skills
Note:
** Preference will be given to young professionals under 30 years of age.
** The programme gives priority to master’s degree courses but also considers applications for Ph.D. studies.
** Local/ regional universities and distance learning programmes are acceptable for the International Scholarship Programme (ISP) funding if the quality of the courses is maintained.
Benefits of Aga Khan Foundation’s International Scholarship
The award covers tuition fees and living expenses for the student for the entire duration of the degree course.
Note:
** The awards are structured as half grant and half loan, where the applicant needs to repay 50 percent of the award amount.
** Scholarships for master’s studies will be granted for the entire duration of the course, and for Ph.D. degree students, scholarships will be awarded for the first two years, after which the applicants are expected to find funding from alternative sources.
** The award does not cover the cost of international travel, clothing, furniture, or living expenses for family members.
