What is Pre-Matric Scholarship For Unclean Occupation Children?
Pre-matric Scholarship for Children Engaged in Unclean Occupation, Maharashtra 2024 is an initiative by the Social Justice and Special Assistance, Government of Maharashtra, for SC category students studying at pre-matric level in any government or private institutions. The selected students will receive a monthly scholarship of up to ₹700 per month for 10 months and other benefits. Last date of scholarship application is 31st March 2025.

Eligibility of Pre-Matric Scholarship For Unclean Occupation Children
To be eligible, an applicant must:
** must be domicile of Maharashtra
** be studying at pre-matric level in government, government-aided, or private non-aided schools in Maharashtra
** belong to a Below Poverty Line (BPL) category family
** have parents working in an unclean occupation
Note:
** Students must have passed the previous class to qualify for the scholarship.
** Students from all boards except those attending self-financing schools are eligible.
** To be eligible for this scheme there is no income limit.
Benefits of Pre-Matric Scholarship For Unclean Occupation Children
1) For Hosteller: Rs 700 p.m. for 10 months and Rs. 1000 Adhoc Grant for books and study material
2) For Day-Scholar: Rs 110 p.m. for 10 months and Rs. 750 Adhoc Grant for books and study material
3) 60% share is of Central and 40% is of state.
4) Disbursement will happen in one instalment.
5) Note: No extra benefit for more than 10 months. For less than 10 months, the beneficiary will be paid for only the no. of months he attended school from the date of admission.

1) Domicile Certificate
2) Engaged in unclean occupation require certificate of Competant Authority such as Gram sevak and sarpanch, Head of Municipal Corporation, Commissioner of Corporation/ Dy. Commissioner / ward Officer.
3) Self-declaration about engaged in unclean occupation on Rs. 20 stamp paper.
