What is Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana For ST Students?

Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana for ST Students is provided by Goa Directorate of Tribal Welfare. Applications can apply through Chief Minister Sholarship Portal. Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana scheme aims to provide additional financial assistance to the ST students as an additional support to Post Matric Scholarship to meet the expenses on food and travel. It also aims to provide additional allowance to cover the expenses of ST students with disability as an additional support to the Post Matric Scholarship to meet the expenses of disabled students. Last date of scholarship application is 31st December, 2024.

Eligibility of Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana For ST Students

1. ST students must be eligible for Centrally Sponsored Post Matric Scholarship during the current Academic Year.

2. Student should belong to Scheduled Tribes Community in State of Goa. Income of Parents/Guardians should not exceed Rs. 5.00 lakh per annum.

3. Student should be regular, full time student studying in a recognized Institution/University. Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only for one year.

4.If a student has to repeat a class, he/she shall not be eligible to get scholarship for second time in the same class.

Benefits of Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana For ST Students

1. Additional Maintenance allowance of Rs. 750/- p.m. for day scholar and Rs. 1,500/- p.m. for those staying in hostel during the academic year (for ten months).

2. Additional disability allowance of Rs. 750/- p.m. during the academic year (for a period of ten months) is given.

Registration:
Students/Beneficiaries are required to register on portal with minimum details to fill applicaiton online.

Online Application:
After Registration and login on the portal, Students can fill online application form.

Documents Upload:
Required documents has to be scanned and uploaded on portal after online application.

Submit to School / Institute / Directorate:
After application and upload of required documents, student can submit application to School/Institute/Directorate for verification.

Documents Required For Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana For ST Students

Documents required for fresh applications under Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana Scheme:

** Passport Size Photograph
** Self attested copies of mark sheet/ Passing Certificate of the exam passed in the preceding Academic year.
** Income Certificate issued by competent authority for the year.
** Self attested copy of Schedule Tribes Certificate issued by competent authority.
** Receipt of Hostel Fees Paid.(In case of Hosteller)
** Receipt of Fees Paid (Current Year Admission).
** Self attested copy of Bank Pass Book.(Nationalized Bank Accounts recommended)
** Self attested copy of Aadhar Card.
** Copy of Disability Certificate issued by competent authority (only for Person with Disabilities-PwD).
