What is Odisha Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship?

PSMTS 2024-2025 Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship of General, ST, SC, OBC/ SEBC and EBC students (Fresh and Renewal) is sponsored by Government of Odisha in School & Mass Education Department out of the State budget to provide financial assistance to the meritorious Higher Secondary School Students of Odisha having proficiency in Mathematics studying in Odia medium Government/Aided/ Recognized Institutions. Last Date of Scholarship is 20th November 2024.

Eligibility of PSMTS

The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing their studies in Class XI and XII in Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

Award of PSMTS

Name of Scholarship : Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent (PSMTS)
Number of Scholarship : 1000
Rate of Scholarship per year : 5,000/-
Duration of scholarship : 10 months in a Year
Remarks : Students of Class XI & XII

Modalities for Award of PSMTS :
i. The scheme is applicable to students reading in Odia medium Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to CHSE (0).
ii. There shall be no income criteria for the award of this scholarship.
iii. A student may enjoy more than one scholarship at a time including PSMTS.

Selection Criteria for PSMTS

The following factors will be taken into consideration:
i. Fulfillment of eligibility conditions as per the modalities.
ii. Online authentication/validation of student record by the Principal/Head of concerned Higher Secondary School/Institutions.
iii. Final Merit/Selection list of 1000 students will be drawn in terms of aggregate mark plus the marks secured in Mathematics in HSC Exam provided by BSE (0).
iv. In case of tie, the position of the candidate shall be determined by the mark secured in S.C.P.

Documents Required for PSMTS

The following legible documents will be uploaded at the time of applying under the scheme.
i. Mark Sheets & Certificate of last qualifying examination i.e. HSC from an institution recognized by BSE Odisha.
ii. Aadhaar Card of the student concerned.
iii. Bank Account details of the student concerned (First page of bank account containing account number and IFSC).
iv. College ID card issued by the concerned authority. While in the absence of the same, the student may provide Admission receipt/Library Card/Letter of Undertaking from concerned college authority (Anyone).

How to Apply for PSMTS?

To apply for the scholarship,eligible students need to follow the below-given steps
STEP 1 : Click Registration link at the portal, only eligible student (Top-2063 HSC passed out students) can apply for the scholarship.
STEP 2 : Enter the Aadhaar number and proceed further.
STEP 3 : Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.
STEP 4 : Click log in link at the portal and enter User ID and password to apply the scholarship.
STEP 5 : Provide all necessary details like personal, academic, eligibility and bank information.
STEP 6 : Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.
STEP 7 : The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the forms and take its print out.
