What is OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship?

O.P. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship OPJEMS 2024 is sponsored by O.P Jindal Group. Under this scholarship, a total of 100 students from 40-43 selected engineering and management institutions will be awarded a scholarship of up to INR 1,50,000 per student, every year. First three toppers of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & Metallurgical Engineering and First ten toppers of management Institutes can apply for this scholarship. Last Date of Scholarship is 17th September 2024.

Award of OP Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship

Yearly Scholarship Amount:
The program would identify around 100 deserving students from 40-43 premier institutes across the country and award scholarships to the value of
Management – INR 1,50,000 per Student
Engineering – INR 80,000 per Student

Eligibility Criteria O.P. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship

The nominations for the scholarship test will be taken based on the following eligibility criteria:
1. Engineering Institutes :
First three toppers from each year of the following streams of engineering
i. Civil Engineering
ii. Electrical Engineering
iii. Mechanical Engineering
iv. Metallurgical Engineering
** The selection of students from 1st year will be based on the entrance exam ranking considered by college at the time of the selection.
** The selection of students from 2nd year will be based on the academic performance of the previous year.

2. Management Institutes :
First ten toppers from each year of management
1st year students: entrance exam ranking considered by college at the time of the admission
2nd year students based on the academic performance of the previous year

How to Apply for OPJEMS?

The eligible candidate can apply for the scholarship by using the below-mentioned steps –
Step 1: Go to the link jindal.opjems.com/Default.aspx
Step 2: Click the ‘Register Now’ button and fill in the required registration details. (Note – If already registered, log in using Gmail/Mobile number/Email ID)
Step 3: Scan the QR Code with QR Scanner or download the OPJEMS app.
Step 4: Fill in the required details in the application form and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
Note – The applicants are required to register themselves after installing the app.

Process of Selection for OPJEMS

FAQ on O.P. Jindal Engineering and Management Scholarship

Is financial need of the student also taken into account while deciding an award of the scholarship?
No, OPJEMS is a scholarship that is awarded purely on the basis of merit and a financial need is not taken into account in any of the decisions.

How many students will be awarded scholarships?
A total of 100 students shall be awarded.

Would I be required to sign any long term bonds if I get the scholarship?
No, there are no bonds in order to accept the scholarship.

If at present I hold any scholarship, will I still be eligible to apply for OPJEMS ?
Yes, a student holding any other scholarship can still apply for OPJEMS, provided he/she meets the eligibility criterion.
