What is CCRT Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme?

Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme 2024-25 is sponsored by CCRT Centre For Cultural Resources And Training. Children whose date of birth is in between 01st July 2010 and 30th June 2014 are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2024-25. The applications of only three (03) students of a Guru/Institution will be considered for award of Scholarships at a time. The applicant must apply in one subject only, as all the applications of those, who apply in more than one subject, would be rejected straight away. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st August 2024.

Objectives of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship

The CCRT is implementing Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme to provide facilities to outstanding talented children selected in the age group of 10 to 14 years (as per the cut off eligibility dates), studying either in recognized schools or belonging to families practicing traditional performing arts for getting specialized training in various cultural fields such as traditional forms of music, dance, drama, painting, sculpture, crafts and literary arts, laying special emphasis on rare art forms, which are in the process of becoming extinct.

The scholarship awarded under the scheme is for two years at a time which is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier, subject to awardees maintaining satisfactory progress.

Number of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship

650 scholarships are awarded every year, as per details given below:
375 scholarships for General categories & Others
125 scholarships for Traditional Artist Families
100 scholarships for Tribal Culture /ST
20 scholarships for Differently Abled (Divyang)
30 scholarships for Creative Writing/Literary Arts

Amount of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship

The value of scholarship is Rs.3600/- (Rupees Three Thousand Six Hundred) per year and actual tuition fee paid for the specialized training is also reimbursed up to Rs.9000/- (Rupees Nine Thousand) per year.

Eligibility of Cultural Talent Search Scholarship

Children whose date of birth is in between 01.07.2010 and 30.06.2014 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the year 2024-25.
