What is PKC WEnyan Scholarship?
WEnyan Scholarship Program 2024 is sponsored by Pune Knowledge Cluster (PKC) in collaboration with BASF Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. The program aims to offer funding support, mentorship and entrepreneurial skill development to deserving women candidates from low-income groups in Maharashtra. This scholarship is open to students from chemistry or allied areas such as Applied Natural Sciences, Specialty Chemicals, Agro-Chemicals, New Materials, Sustainability etc. Last Date of Scholarship is 15th August 2024.
Benefits of WEnyan Scholarship
** Scholarship of up to INR.10,000 per month for 3 months (Graduate students)
** INR 15,000 per month for 6 months (Post Graduate students)
** INR 2 lakhs for prototype development (Early stage entrepreneurs) + INR 15,000 per month for 6 months
Eligibility Criteria of WEnyan Scholarship
1. Girls from marginalized communities/low income groups in Maharashtra
2. Those who are pursuing undergraduate degree and will be completing it in the year 2025( appearing for Final year exam in 2025 of B.Sc./B.Pharm./B.Tech./B.E. and equivalent degree) or pursuing Master’s degree and will be completing it in the year 2025 ( appearing for Final year exam in 2025 of M.Sc./M.Pharm./M.Tech./ M.E. and equivalent degree). The scholarship will be given to students to pursue ONLY FINAL YEAR projects, preferably in their own college/institute.
3. Students who wish to pursue entrepreneurship within a year of earning their Bachelor or Master Degree
Application Process of WEnyan Scholarship
This form is to acquaint the selection committee with a candidate’s profile, interests and commitment to the Ideals of the fellowship.
1. Student applies for the call with a PI (Teacher in-charge/Research guide/Mentor) and an identified Project
2. Entrepreneur applies with a product idea in mind OR with generated PoC (Proof of Concept)
Selection Process of WEnyan Scholarship
The selection for the Scholarship will be based on the recommendations of a Selection Committee, which will comprise representatives from Academia & Industry. This will consist of an e-meet with the panel, post which the selected candidates will be notified.

1. Research Project OR Entrepreneurship Project Proposal (As per template)
2. H.Sc. (12th grade) Mark sheet
3. Mark sheet of last appeared examination
4. Income Group Proof (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate OR Income Certificate) ONLY if low income group
