What is JBNSTS Talent Search Examination?
Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search JBNSTS Examination – 2024 is sponsored by Dept. of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of West Bengal. Students who have passed / appeared in (10+2) Board examination in the year 2024 in West Bengal are eligible to apply. Those who have passed equivalent examination before 2024 are not eligible to apply. Application fee for JBNSTS Talent Search examination are Rs.200. Last Date of Scholarship Talent Search Examination is 31st July 2024.
Who can Apply for JBNSTS Exam?
JUNIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST / JUNIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI :
Students who have passed 10th standard examination in 2024 with minimum 75% marks / equivalent C.G.P.A. (in aggregate) and currently studying in class XI in science stream (with at least 3 subjects from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Statistics, Electronics, Computer Science) in any school in West Bengal are eligible to apply.
SENIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST / SENIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI :
Students who have passed / appeared in (10+2) Board examination (WBCHSE / CBSE / ISC / Visva-Bharati Board) in the year 2024 and are studying / aspiring to study Science (Hons.) (subjects acceptable under the scope of DST-Inspire scholarship).[ General & Dipoloma, Nursing course students are not eligible] (BS-MS /Engg. / Medicine in West Bengal.
Financial Benefits of JBNSTS Talent Search Examination
FOR JUNIOR SCHOLARS:
** Rs. 1250/- per month for two years.
** Rs. 2500/- Annual Book Grant for two years.
FOR JUNIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI:
** Rs. 1250/- per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 2500/- for 2 years (till completion of 12th standard examination).
FOR SENIOR SCHOLARS:
** Rs. 4000/- per month & Annual Book Grant: Rs.5000/- for 4 / 4.5 / 5 years as applicable based on the duration of course.(till completion of B.Tech / BE / MBBS / BS- MS / M.Sc).
FOR SENIOR BIGYANI KANYA MEDHA BRITTI:
** Rs. 4000/- per month and annual Book grant of Rs.5000/- for four / five years (till completion of B.Tech / BE / MBBS / BS-MS / M.Sc).
Required Documents for JBNSTS Talent Search Examination
Please keep the following documents ready before you start your online application :
1. Scan copy of marksheet of 10th standard examination in jpeg / pdf format [ size – 1 MB].
2. Scan copy of marksheet of 12th standard examination in jpeg / pdf format [ size – 1 MB].
3. Scanned image of your signature in jpg/jpeg format ([ Signature size – within 50 KB]*).
4. Your high resolution recent passport size photograph in jpg/jpeg format ([ Photo size – within 100 KB]*).
** This photograph shall be used in the ATTENDANCE RECORD of the examination. If you don’t have any such photograph PLEASE CLICK HERE for taking your photograph online through your mobile / laptop / desktop computer camera.
** You may download this photograph & upload it at the appropriate place in the application form.
Mandatory requirement for taking this examination :
1. You must have a valid email ID. (One email id should be used for ONE applicant only) [Admit card and other details of examination will be sent to your email address (provided by you in this application form)]
2. You must have a valid mobile phone number. (One mobile no. should be used for ONE applicant only)
* Your email ID and mobile phone number shall be required for your communication purpose.
Payment option :
1. Application fee for JBNSTS Senior Talent Search / Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti examination are Rs. 200.00
2. Online payment of application fee can be made, using the following modes :

Refund / Cancellation Policy :
