What is SDEF Swami Dayanand Scholarship Program?

Swami Dayanand Scholarship Program 2024-25 is sponsored by Swami Dayanand Education Foundation SDEF. Our scholarships will be provided to only those students studying in government or aided schools in 10th grade. Students scoring 85% or higher in 10th and 12th grade CBSE can qualify for our scholarships. 50% scholarship reserved for female applicants. Scholarship amount will be credited to the Institute’s account only.

Eligibility of Swami Dayanand Scholarship Program

** Our scholarships will be provided to only those students studying in government or aided schools in 10th grade. Students scoring 85% or higher in 10th and 12th grade CBSE can qualify for our scholarships.

** Children studying in private schools in 10th grade are not eligible for our scholarships. If you are studying at a school affiliated with state boards, please let us know in advance so that we can process your application separately.

** Age limit – Our scholarships are restricted to students 18 or younger entering their first year of college.
** Candidates should fill out the applications themselves. Applicants and their parents must sign the last page of the application and mail it or upload it with the application.

** We are also restricting the gap year’s requirements to a maximum of one year. If you have taken two or more years of drop, you will not be eligible for our scholarships, as we feel it is unfair to the students who have not taken a drop or one year at the most. Preference will be given to students who have not taken a drop year after school.

** After reviewing candidates last year, we are changing the minimum annual family income limits. We have set a minimum family income requirement of 1.2 lacs per annum. We want to help the section of society with an income between 1.2 and 8 lacs who are not getting any fee waiver from the institute or college.

** Preference will be given to students who can submit salary slips, income tax returns, or documents verifying their parents’ income. Please let us know if your parents can speak Hindi or English.

How to Apply for Swami Dayanand Scholarship Program?

Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting the application form:
** Before applying, ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria mentioned on the SDEF website.
** Award of Scholarships will be decided on the NEED cum MERIT basis.
** Incomplete application forms will not be considered for scholarship.
** A recent and good quality photograph is to be uploaded in the application form.
** Most of the fields are mandatory in the application form and must be completed. Write “Does not apply” if not related to you.
** Please check the document list before filling this application form as candidates are required to upload all supporting documents.
** The students can “save” their application and can submit it later.
** Please fill in the education details in ascending order under Education. Also , mention semester-wise scores of the current course, i.e. B.Tech/MBBS/B.E./B.Pharm/Others under Education details. Click on the “Add Row” button to add more rows.
** All the candidates are advised to give full details of their parent’s occupations. Incomplete information about occupation will not be preferred for Scholarship.
** Please attach supporting documents for family income and expenditures (for example: salary slip, ITR, agriculture-related documents, in case of farmers), pictures of shop (business), and BPL card. We request that the students provide complete details. Please note that only complete applications will be reviewed for the scholarship.

** Domicile of Applicant.
** Family Income Proof- Salary Certificate/Salary Slip (For 3 Months)/IT Return Form/Pension Copy.
** Utility Bills (Electricity, Gas, Telephone, Water) of last six months.
** Bank Statement of last one year.
** Rent agreement, if house is rented.
** Income Verification Form
** Reference letter from two neighbors.
** Agricultural land documents/Pics of Shop/Self declaration as per proforma given in application form.
** House Pictures – Inside and Outside (4 photos) & Family Photograph.
** For Physically Challenged – Certificate from a Competent Authority. (If Applicable)
