What is Kotak Junior Scholarship?

Kotak Junior Scholarship Program 2024-25 is sponsored by Kotak Education Foundation (KEF). Applicants must have obtained over 85% marks in their Class 10 board examination (SSC/CBSE/ICSE) in 2024. The annual family income of applicants must be INR 3,20,000 or below. Selected students will receive a scholarship of INR 3,500 per month throughout Class 11 and Class 12, totaling INR 73,500 for 21 months. Last Date of Scholarship 30th June 2024.

Eligibility of Kotak Junior Scholarship

** Applicants must have obtained over 85% marks in their Class 10 board examination (SSC/CBSE/ICSE) in 2024.
** They must have secured admission in Class 11 at junior colleges/schools for Arts, Commerce or Science streams in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) for the academic year 2024-25.
** The annual family income of applicants must be INR 3,20,000 or below.
** Students must reside within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
** Children of employees of Kotak Education Foundation and Buddy4Study are ineligible to apply for the Kotak Junior Scholarship.

** The utilization of the fund can be further tailored based on the specific requirements of the Kotak Education Foundation.

Required Documents for Kotak Junior Scholarship

** SSC/ICSE/CBSE marksheet (e-copy allowed): Mandatory
** Front and back page of Yellow/Orange Ration Card of students: Mandatory. [Students need to submit an income certificate issued by the Government of Maharashtra (obtained from the Collector’s office) or the Government of India within 30 days of provisional selection]
** Recent passport-size photograph: Mandatory
** Aadhaar Card of both the parents and student: Required
** Pan Card of at least one earning parent/guardian
** School leaving certificate
** The latest copy of the IT Return along with 26AS, if income tax is paid or an IT Return is filed by any family member
** Death certificate in case of a single parent
** Student’s bank account (bank statement or first page of bank passbook): Mandatory

** You will now be redirected to the ‘Kotak Junior Scholarship 2024-25’ application form page.

** Fill in the required details in the online application form.
** Upload relevant documents.
** Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click on ‘Preview’.

Selection Process of Kotak Junior Scholarship

The selection of scholars for the Kotak Junior Scholarship 2024-25 will be made based on their academic merit and financial background. It involves a multi-stage process as detailed below –

** Telephonic interview of the shortlisted candidates post document verification
** Final selection of scholars

FAQ on Kotak Junior Scholarship

Q. If selected, how will I get the scholarship amount?
The scholarship amount will be transferred to the scholars’ bank accounts on a quarterly basis during the first year of the program. In the second year, the scholarship will be transferred on a half-yearly basis.

Q. I am a Class 11 student studying in New Delhi. Can I apply for this scholarship?
No, you cannot apply for this scholarship. Only candidates who have successfully completed their Class 10 from SSC/CBSE/ICSE boards within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) are eligible. The students must reside within the MMR. They must have secured admission in Class 11 at junior colleges/schools for Arts, Commerce or Science streams in the MMR for the academic year 2024-25.

Q. I am currently a Class 12 student in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Am I eligible for this scholarship?
No, you do not meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship. It is exclusively open to candidates who have successfully completed their 10th grade from SSC/CBSE/ICSE boards within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Q. Will I get this scholarship for subsequent years of my studies?
Yes, scholarship support will be provided to selected students throughout their journey until the completion of their Class 12. However, for scholarship renewal in successive years, scholars must fulfill the following renewal criteria:
** Maintain continuous attendance in regular academic sessions (Proof of continuity and promotion to the next year is required to be submitted).
** Uphold good disciplinary conduct.
** Achieve more than 70% marks in Class 11 for the renewal of the scholarship.
** The renewal of the scholarship each year will be at the sole discretion of the Kotak Education Foundation.
