What is LPUNEST National Entrance and Scholarship Test?

Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission 2024 in 150+ programmes. Since its inception in 2009, more than 75,000 students are appearing in this exam LPUNEST every year. The LPUNEST exam offers convenient choices to candidates : online remotely proctored from Home (Recommended by the university, based on available resources. This test will have a two-fold advantage as it will act as an Entrance as well as Scholarship Test. Last Date of Scholarship is 25th March 2024.

Important Dates of LPUNEST

LPUNEST will be conducted in the following schedule:
Online Registration Starts on 21st February 2024
Slot booking for online examination 1st March 2024 onwards*

Eligibility of LPUNEST

For admission to B.Tech. Programmes at Lovely Professional University, you need to fulfil the following Eligibility Criteria.
Nationality :
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for LPUNEST (B.Tech.)

Qualifying Examination:
Applicants appearing for LPUNEST (B.Tech.) should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2024, in final examination of 10+2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
For B. Tech and B. Tech (Hons.) Programmes Pass with 60% aggregate marks* in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English) subject to qualifying LPUNEST*

For B.Tech. Biotechnology (BT), B.Tech. (Food Technology) and B.Tech. (Biomedical Engineering) Pass with 60% aggregate marks* in 10+2 (with Physics, Chemistry, English and Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*

For B.Tech. Chemical Engineering (CHE), B.Tech (Civil Engineering), B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering), B.Tech (Mechatronics Engineering), B.Tech (Aerospace Engineering) and B.Tech (Automobile Engineering) Pass with 60% aggregate marks* in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST*

For B.tech(CSE – AI and Data Engineering), B.Tech. (CSE – Software Product Engineering), B.Tech. (CSE – Decision Science and Machine Learning) Pass with 60% aggregate marks* in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST* and Interview.

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium or an equivalent subject.

* 5% relaxation to North East states and Sikkim candidates/ Defence Personnel and their Dependents/ Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.
* The LPUNEST exam offers convenient choices to candidates: Online remotely proctored from Home (recommended by the university, based on available resources) or Test centre-based options.

How to Apply for LPUNEST?

Application Form :
** Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR).
** LPUNEST Kit consists of
a. University Information Brochure comprising details of Infrastructure, Global Character, Placements, Academics, Student services, Campus life etc.
b. LPUNEST Booklet comprising details of Programmes applicable, Eligibility, Fee and Scholarship, Schedule of Test, Question Paper Pattern, Test Cities etc.
** Application fee once paid will not be refunded.

Application forms can be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods:
Option-I:
Online Mode Visit admissions.lpu.in and complete the following steps:
Step 1: Sign Up – Register onto LPUADMIT(admission.lpu.in) with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
Step 2: Payment for LPUNEST Kit – The cost of LPUNEST Kit needs to be paid by the applicant as per his/ her choice.

Application Fee:
** Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys) and Rs. 500 (for Girls).
** Printed LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1500 (for Boys) and Rs. 1000 (for Girls). The payment can be made using Online banking/Credit card/debit card / UPI.

Step 3: General Information and Qualification details – The application form details like Aadhar card number, address details and qualification details need to be filled by the applicant.
Step 4: Exam Information – Applicant needs to book the slot (preferred venue (if applicable), date and time as per their choice) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam. Applicant can also download the hall ticket from the portal.

Option-II:
Offline Mode LPUNEST Kit may be obtained by the applicant from the University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.
** Cost of Application form of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys) and Rs. 500 (for Girls).

** Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST Kit, application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:
Manual Application:
Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head “Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)” and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following Address: Block 30, Room No 102, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Delhi, GT Road, Phagwara, Punjab, India – 144411

Note:
Incomplete application (For example: Declaration not signed) will not be processed. LPU does not take responsibility to inform these applicants. Such applicants will not be able to access the LPU Admit. Applicants are hence advised to duly fill the application form and dispatch it along with complete requisite documents in all respects.

Semi-Offline Application: In case applicant is unable to send the hard copy of application form (OMR Sheet), then applicant may scratch the Unique OMR code available on application form (OMR Sheet) and follow the below mentioned steps:
i. Sign up on LPU ADMIT portal (admission.lpu.in)
ii. When prompted for payment, choose the option of Unique OMR Code (given on OMR Sheet)and fill the same.
iii. After successful submission of online application form, refer the step- 3 of Online Mode option as mentioned above

Note:
Printout of the computer-generated application should be retained by the applicant for reference. All our correspondence including test centre booking and Hall Ticket details will be through email only. Therefore, the applicants are requested to get ready with valid email id and mobile number for contact. No separate communication will be done for the same.
