What is KSSM Snehapoorvam Scholarship Scheme?

Snehapoorvam Scholarship Scheme 2023-2024 is Sponsored by Kerala Social Security Mission. Children are the greatest assets of our nation. Investing in them is investing for a better future for our country & for our world. Considering all the reality of the present situations faced by some children (orphans) in our society, Kerala Government has launched a noble initiative “SNEHAPOORVAM” to provide financial assistance to orphans who are living in the family, with their relatives, friends, or the support of the community under the Social Welfare Department implemented through Social Security Mission. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st March 2024.

Objectives Of Snehapoorvam Scheme

** To identify the orphaned children in the community.
** To assess and prioritize children in the greatest need
** To provide social protection to highly vulnerable groups of orphans by strengthening traditional family and community systems for protecting and absorbing orphans.
** To improve the basic education, social integration and nutrition of the most vulnerable groups of orphans towards the levels of other children in the community.
** To encourage families to live their children within the family set up rather than sending them to orphanages.
** To extend a helping hand to these orphan’s families by way of providing financial assistance to the education of children.

Eligibility Criteria of Snehapoorvam Scholarship

** Children who have lost either father or mother or both.
** Students from first standard to degree classes.
** Children below 5 years.
** Children who belongs to BPL category.
** For children belonging to APL category, annual income should be below Rs. 20,000 in rural areas (Local body / Grama Panchayat) and Rs. 22,375 in urban areas (Corporation / Municipality).

How to Apply for Snehapoorvam Scholarship?

Applications for the academic year 2023-24 may be submitted online.

Award Request Submission (Snehapoorvam Scheme) :
1. Visit the page http://www.ikm.in/kssm/
2. Click the button named ‘Institution Login’
3. Enter User Name and Password (already registered Institutions) then click the button named ‘Sign In’
4. Select the link named ‘Services’
5. Click the button named ‘Cash Award
6. Click the button named ‘Search’ (not compulsory)
7. Select the Check Boxes under the label named ‘Select’ and Enter the Certificate Register No
8. Click the button named ‘SAVE’
9. Click the button named ‘SUBMIT’ (cannot edit record after submission)

Award Request Approval/Rejection (Snehapoorvam Scheme) :
1. Visit the page http://www.ikm.in/kssm/
2. Click the button named ‘Official Login’ (fig. 09)
3. Enter User Name and Password of Administrative Officer (Snehapoorvam Approver) then click the button named ‘Sign In’
4. Select the link named ‘Services’
5. Click the button named ‘Award Approval’
6. Select the Check Boxes under the label named ‘
7. Click the button named ‘APPROVE’ for Approval
8. Click the button named ‘APPROVED LIST’
9. View and print the ‘APPROVED LIST’
10. Click the button named ‘REJECT’ for Rejection
11. Enter the Reason for rejection and Click the button named ‘REJECT’

The Application will be approved only after receiving this Print out copy with School/College seal and signature to the below address,

Closing Date : 31/03/24
** Child’s Aadhaar Number, Account Number and IFC Code must be entered without error.
** The print out after submitting online must be submitted by 30th April 2024 along with the signature and seal of the Head of Institution.
