What is IPM Mathematics Scholarship Exam?
Mathematics Scholarship Examination is a Competitive Examination conducted by the Institute for Promotion of Mathematics for various standards where the mathematical skills, mental ability, calculation speed, critical analysis and accuracy of a child and application of short cut methods are tested. The Institute conducts the All-India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination for Std. II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII and IX and awards Scholarship, Trophies/Mementoes to the top 251/150 students of each standard to honour and inspire them. Last Date of Scholarship is 28th February 2024.

Objectives of IPM Mathematics Scholarship Exam
1. To make the solving of mathematical problems a joyful activity and in general to sharpen a child’s mathematical skills.
2. To test not the mechanical part of problem solving, but a child’s ability to understand the basic concepts on various topics and their application.
3. To encourage and prepare young students to appear for various Mathematics Competitive Examination and to inculcate in them an ambition to succeed in such competitive examination from an early age.
4. To honour and inspire the Meritorious students by awarding Scholarship, Prizes, Mementoes and Certificates.
Who is Eligible for IPM Mathematics Scholarship Exam?
** Any student studying in Std. II to IX of any recognized school with S.S.C, I.C.S.E, C.B.S.E and I.B. or any other board pattern, is eligible to appear for the All-India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination.
** A Student can appear for Mathematics Scholarship Examination for the class only in which he/she is studying during the academic year. If any student appears for two grades, he/she will be awarded prize only for the standard he/she is studying in school.
Exam Pattern & Rules of IPM Mathematics Scholarship
The Institute will conduct the All-India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination in the following structure:
1. Final Exam (Mode of Exam — Offline)
All candidates who have applied for the All-India Open Mathematics Scholarship Examination will compulsory have to appear for the Final Examination. Based on the Performance at the Final Examination the top 400/500 students will qualify for the Mega Final. Those remaining absent for the Final Examination will not be allowed to appear for the Mega-Final.
Paper Pattern :
Total Questions : 40
Total Marks: 100 (No Negative Marking)
Duration of Exam : 60 minutes
2. Mega Final Exam (Mode of Exam — Offline)
Date — June/July will be uploaded on website) Standard 2 to Standard 6 top 500 students of each class from Final Examination and Standard 7 to Standard 9 top 400 students of each class from Final Examination are eligible to appear for Mega Final Exam

Total Marks: 30 (Negative Marks for wrong answer: 0.5)
Duration of Exam : 45 minutes
Registration & Fee of IPM Mathematics Scholarship Exam
** Application form to be filled and submitted along with fee of Rs.400 on IPM website: www.ipmmathscholarship.com. Fees once paid will not be refunded. (Under any circumstances).
** If any student by mistake registers himself/herself twice for the same grade, cancellation charges for registration will be Rs.100. Students selected for Mega-Final will have to pay a Fee of Rs.100 for Mega Final Exam. For any updates students and parents are requested to check our website.
