What is PM Yasasvi Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme?

PM Yasasvi Pre Matric Scholarship Scheme For OBC Students (Class IX And X) is sponsored by Department of Education (S) Manipur. This scheme can be availed by students studying in class IX and X on a full-time basis in Government Schools only. Fund sharing ratio between Centre and State is 90:10 (Central Share: State Share). The students shall be given a consolidated academic allowance of Rs. 4000/- per annum. Last Date of Scholarship is 30th January, 2024.

Eligibility of Pre Matric Scholarship For OBC Students

i. Scholars obtaining benefits under this scheme shall not be allowed to avail of benefits under any other pre-matric scholarship.
ii. Only two boys from the same family can receive scholarships, but this rule does not apply to girls. This means that if two girls from the same family receive scholarships, it will not affect the ability of their two brothers to receive scholarships.
iii. Students must have at least 75% attendance in the previous year to be eligible for a scholarship.
iv. The scholarship amount will be paid directly into the account of the students or parents only through DBT preferably through an Aadhaar Based Payment System.
v. Students parents/guardians income should be equal to or less than Rs.2,50,000/- per annum.

How to Apply for Pre Matric Scholarship For OBC Students?

Please visit on https://scholarships.gov.in/ and follow the following steps;
1. New Registration: Navigate to application corner and click on “New Registration” tab. Read the details carefully, tick the checkbox and click on “Continue” button. Enter mobile no., captcha code and OTP and then submit. Fill the required details and click on “Save and Registered” to complete the registration process.

2. Fresh Registration: Click on “Fresh Application” tab and login using the application ID and password.

3. Renewal Registration: Click on “Renewal Application” with their Application ID and Date of Birth which they registered previous year. Student can also use Forgot Application ID to retrieve their ID. Only those students would be able to renew who had actually got the scholarships payments last year from NSP.

Note:-
i. For detailed information, kindly refer to ‘Scholarship Guidelines’ on National Scholarship Portal under Manipur (State Scheme tab).
ii. Last date of online registration is 30th January, 2024.
iii. All applicants are advised to fill up the form correctly, no changes can be made once submitted. The applicants are also advised to fill in only one application as multiple applications will lead to cancellation of all applications.
