What is Odisha Post Matric Scholarship?
Post-Matric Scholarship is sponsored by ST&SC and MBC Welfare Department Odisha. Post-Matric scholarship for eligible ST, SC, OBC/SEBC & EBC students studying inside /outside state for the year 2023-24 is being invited in ODISHA STATE SCHOLARSHIP PORTAL. The annual family income of the parent/guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- . Last Date of Scholarship is 20th December 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for Post Matric Scholarship Scheme
** Student shall belong to ST, SC, OBC/SEBC, EBC community and should be a permanent resident of Odisha.
** The students should continue their Post Matriculation Studies in any general/technical or professional courses in any Government or Government recognized Private institutes.
** The annual family income of the parent/guardian from all sources should not exceed Rs.2,50,000/- (Two Lakh Fifty Thousand)
** In case of OBC/ SEBC and EBC students, scholarship award will be subject to at least 50% marks in last qualifying exam.
Scheduled Time line for Post Matric Scholarship
1 Opening Date of Online Applications for students 15.11.2023
2 Closing date for submission of Online Applications by students. 20.12.2023
3 Last date for scrutiny & forwarding of Online Applications by Institutes. 20.01.2024
4 Last date for online sanction of Applications by the DWO concerned. 31.01.2024
How to Apply for Post Matric Scholarship?
Candidates belonging to both INSIDE STATE and OUTSIDE STATE categories shall follow the instructions given below:
** From the year 2023-24, outside state students (Fresh & Renewal in new course) will be covered under the scheme only if studying in government institutions.
** Students are advised to visit the URL given above and click on HOW TO APPLY button to know the complete procedure of Online Registration in Odisha State Scholarship Portal.
** Login ID would be generated on OTP based Aadhaar authentication, therefore students must ensure that their Aadhaar is linked with an operational mobile number to receive OTP and provide the same in scholarship portal for successful registration.
** Basic details i.e. Name, Gender, Date of Birth will be fetched from the AADHAAR and will be non-editable. Therefore, before registration, students are advised to ensure that these details are correct in their AADHAAR (including spelling of the name & surname).
** All renewal students are advised to click on “VERIFY” button showing against AADHAAR mandatorily in their basic profile page to update any changes made in Aadhaar in the portal. In case, any variation/ wrong information fetched from Aadhaar database for any technical glitch, do not proceed further and re-visit the portal after sometime.
** In case of ST students, additional information is sought on the tribe name and whether belong to Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG). Please refer your caste certificate properly to choose the correct tribe name from the drop down list.
In case the applicant is not sure/confused about his/her Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) category, he/she may please check the same with your parent/ grand parents for ascertaining the category/community of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups provided in dropdown in Portal to ascertain if you belong to any of them. If not, please select option as NO.
** Students are advised not to submit hard copy of application and other required documents to concerned institution. Therefore, at the time of filling details of income, caste, matric roll no, bank accounts etc., students are requested to fill it cautiously and upload correct, valid & legible certificates in the portal for verification.
Any mismatch found during scrutiny process at institution/DWO level will lead to rejection of application. However, in case of any requirement, DWO may seek hard-copies of application and other required documents from student/institution.
** In case of any requirement, DWO may ask institutionsfor ink-signed summary/application list of final approved applications downloadable in institution login.
** Students applying for the first time or renewing in new course need to obtain caste and fresh income certificate through e-district portal of Odisha and upload in the application.
** Students are required to provide details of all educational qualifications received till date starting from matriculation in concerned section and upload the certificate/ mark-sheet of the same. When you are Re-newing in New course, do not forget to add the details of most recent qualification attained from completion of the course in last academic year.
** Students must provide an operative, active & unique mobile number (preferably having whatsapp linked number) to receive important messages regarding application status. As per Gol stipulation, one mobile number can be used against only one application.
** Students are advised to keep their Unique ID& Password confidential. In case of any mis-credit/manipulation happens due to sharing of user id & password with others, student will be solely held responsible.
** Institutes/DWOs are instructed to process the online application within 7 days of receipt of application in their login and forward the same to next level for further action without waiting till last date of application/ processing.
