What is Goa Pre Matric & Post Matric Scholarship?

Pre Matric & Post Matric Scholarship Scheme 2023-24 is sponsored by Government of Goa. Directorate of Social Welfare has invited applications for the financial year 2023-24 for centrally/State Sponsored schemes through online mode for the financial year 2023-24. The students should be studying in class IX and X on a full time basis. Last Date of Scholarship is 31st December, 2023.

Types of Scholarship

Applications are invited for Post Matric Scholarship for SC students, Post Matric Scholarship for OBC students and Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes (EBC), Pre Matric scholarship for OBC/EBC students from (IX & X), Pre Matric scholarship for SC and Others ( IX & X) Component-I is IX & X SC students and Component-II (I to X) (Those engaged in unclean occupation).

Similarly for Merit Based Award and recognition of high performance in the Board Exam of SSC and HSSC in the State of Goa.(SC community), Merit Based Award and recognition of high performance in the Board Exam of SSC and HSSC in the State of Goa. (Dhangar community) Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana (Dhangar Community), Gagan Bharari Shiksha Yojana (SC community), Scheme of Scholarship to Students pursuing Home Nursing courses, Kanya Dhan for SC, Stipend Scheme to Students with disabilities, Scholarship Scheme to Students with disabilities, Saral Vidya Sahay Scheme for SC/OBC (V to VIII)

Eligibility of Pre Matric & Post Matric Scholarship Scheme

** The students should be studying in class IX and X on a full time basis.
** They should belong to a Scheduled Caste, OBC/EBC Economically Backward Classes.
** All the Institutions/ Colleges are informed that income limit of the family from all sources not to be exceeded more than Rs.2.50 lakhs per annum in respect to Centrally sponsored schemes.
** However income is not applicable for Component-II of Pre Matric Scholarship to SC and others. In respect to the State Schemes should not exceed more than 2 lakhs per annum, 1.50 lakhs and 1.20 lakhs per annum.

How to Apply for Pre Matric & Post Matric Scholarship?

The portal for accepting the applications has been developed by the NIC Goa. The functioning of the portal will be handled by the Technical Officer of the NIC Goa.

All the educational institutions / Schools are requested to inform the Students to apply for the respective Scholarship as per the eligibility, strictly through the online mode.

The students are required to login at https://cmscholarship.goa.gov.in, in order to apply for the Scholarship. The requisite documents essential to apply for Scholarship shall be uploaded in original .along with the application on or before December 15, 2023 the last date of submission of verified applications by the institutions/Colleges is December 31, 2023.

The students who will be applying for the scholarship schemes should mandatorily provide Bank details. The Students should give only details of Nationalized Bank Account, Bank account should be compulsorily Aadhaar seeded, Acknowledgement copy of the Aadhaar seeding done should be uploaded for availing the benefit.

It is further informed that, the applicant who applying for the Post Matric Scholarship under EBC Category should mandatorily upload the self Declaration in respect of his/her community and state that he/she does not belongs to SC/OBC/ST community failing which the application will not be accepted.
