What is JAC National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship?
National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Examination NMMSS 2023-24 is sponsored by JAC Jharkhand Academic Council. Students studying Class VIII can apply for this Scholarship Examination. NMMS Examination 2023 is conducted on 17.12.2023. Last Date of Scholarship is 17th November 2023.

Eligibility of National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship
** Candidates should have secured 55 % marks in VII class, Whereas reserved category candidates should have secured minimum 50% marks.
** Parental Income should not exceed Rs.3.5 Lakh annually including all sources of income.
How to Apply for National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship?
Carefully read this guide before you proceed for filling up your online application form for National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship (N.M.M.S.S.) Examination for the state of Jharkhand. It will help you to gain knowledge on how to fill-up and submit your Application Form.
This segment will guide you through the operational aspects of the NATIONAL MEANS-CUM- MERIT SCHOLARSHIP (N.M.M.S.S.) EXAMINATION – 2023-24 Online Application Form Process. Here, as an applicant, you are required to:
** Fill in the online application form. Obtain printout & check entered details.
** Make online payment for the same.
** Print application form after making payment and submit the same to your school along with requisite documents.
Home Page:
1. If you are a new user, in Candidate Section, click on the tab “Click here to Submit Application Form” to open up the “Online Application Form” and fill up the same for the forth coming examination.
2. If you have already submitted your application form and want to obtain duplicate copy of the same or want to make payment of the same or want to check approval status of the same, click on the tab “Click here to Check Application Status / Make Payment” to open up the requisite page.
3. If you require any assistance click on the “Contact Us” tab to obtain our contact details.
Note:
** Before registering yourself carefully read the Notification, Eligibility Criteria, and other related notices issued by the Council from time to time and make sure that you satisfy the same. (Parent Website of the Council is https://jac.jharkhand.gov.in/jac/ )
** Your application form will be considered submitted only after the same is approved by the District Education Officer (D.E.O.) of the district in which your school is located. Hence complete all steps pertaining to your application submission and submit your application form well in advance in order to avoid last minute rush.
How to Fill up of the Application Form?
In order to open up the student application form, click on the tab “Click here to submit Application
Form” appearing in Candidate Section. A page as shown below opens up.
How to fill up your details:
1. Fill requisite information’s in this page by entering them in the box provided (All fields marked with “ * “ are mandatory)
2. In columns having drop down lists chose one from the available list.
3. In columns having radio buttons select the appropriate one by clicking on the button appearing before the text.
4. If you belong to Schedule Caste / Schedule Tribe / Other Backward Class (O.B.C.) category upload copy of your caste certificate by clicking on the respective tab.
5. If you are a Divyang candidate, upload copy of relevant certificate by clicking on the respective tab.
6. In order to select the school block follow the below mentioned steps.
a. In column “School District” select the district in which the school is situated.
b. Names of all block’s within the selected district will get populated, select the block from the populated list in which the school is situated.
7. Upload scanned image of your photograph and signature by clicking on the respective tabs.
Kindly note the photograph and signature to be uploaded should be clean & clear. (It is advised to submit photograph not more than 3 months old, and signature to be uploaded should be made with black ball point pen.)
8. Click on “Submit” tab to submit the same.
Note:
** In column “Name & Address of the school/institution in which studying at Class VIII level” fill information as advised by your school. Do not submit arbitrary information in the same.
** In column email address & mobile number provide email address & mobile number of yours or of your parents / person who is known to you. Information’s relating to this examination will be made available to you from time to time via SMS and/or email. Do not submit arbitrary information / details of unknown persons.
1. After successful submission of your application form the system will display the page as shown above.
2. Your application number is displayed in this page, note down the same before moving to other pages.
3. Clicking on the link “Click here to download copy of your application form” will download copy of your application form into your computer’s browsers default location.
4. Clicking on the link “Click here to Pay” will take you the payment section.
Note:
** A copy of your application form will also get delivered into the email id mentioned by you in the application form.
** An SMS will get delivered into the mobile number provided by you in the application form as confirmation of the same.
How to Check Application Status / Make Payment?
In order to check the status of your application form / make payment for the same, click on the tab “Click here to Check Application Status / Make Payment” appearing in Candidate Section. A page as shown below opens up.
How to check status of your application / make payment for the same:
1. Enter requisite information’s as asked for in the page and click on the “Submit” tab.
Note :
** If entered details is correct a page as shown below opens up; else if entered details is incorrect (does not matches with the database) the system will revert back with an error message.
2. In this page data appearing below respective column heads will display the respective information.
a. An example in column “Payment Made” data will display as “No” till payment for the application form is not successful.
b. In column “Application Status” present status of the application form is displayed.
3. In this page clicking on the “Download Application” tab will download a copy of the application form into your computer browser’s default location. The form so downloaded will contain the current status of the application form.
4. In order to make payment for your application form click on the “Click to pay” tab. clicking on the tab will proceed for payment.
5. Enter requisite details and checkmark on the “I Agree” box to accept the declaration.
6. To pay click on “Proceed to Pay” tab.
7. Clicking on the tab will take you to a secured site for online fees payment.
Note:
** Before making payment please make sure that all details entered by you are correct.
** If you detect any error in your application form kindly abandon the application form, and submit a new application form. Please note application form once submitted cannot be modified.
** For paying fees you require a valid Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking facility in your bank account. Online payment will navigate you into a secure payment site. On successful transaction you will be redirected back to this website for payment confirmation. Follow Instructions as appearing in the screen.
** After payment of application fees your application form will become visible in D.E.O.’s login for approval/rejection. Hence be careful that you have selected the right district for your school (in which you are presently studying).
How to Print Application Form?
1. After successful payment for your application form, follow instruction as appearing in the screen / as sent to you via email.
2. In order to obtain copy of your application form follow steps as mentioned under para “Check Application Status / Make Payment”.
Note:
** Submit a copy of the paid application form alongwith copy of requisite details/certificates to the school whose details has been entered by you in the application form for onward transmission of the same to the D.E.O. of the district.
3. Once your application is approved / rejected (as the case may be) by the D.E.O. you will receive intimation for the same via email.
4. Log into your account post receiving of email and download copy of your application. The application form so downloaded will contain the word “Your application is Approved” / “Your application is Rejected” (as the case may be) in the last paragraph of the printout.
5. Application form containing the text “Your application is Approved” in the last paragraph i.e. “Certification by the District Education Officer (D.E.O.)” of the printout indicates your candidature for NMMSS Examination 2023-24 has been approved by the DEO.
Else
Application form bearing the word “Your application is Rejected” in the last paragraph i.e. “Certification by the District Education Officer (D.E.O.)” of the printout indicates your candidature for NMMSS Examination 2023-24 has been rejected by the DEO.
What is the Last Date of NMMSS Scholarship?
Last Date for submission of online application form by Student is 17-11-2023.
