What Is Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship?

Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship 2023 is an opportunity offered by the Australian Researcher Cooperation Hub India (ARCH-India). The program is open to eligible research students and post-doctoral scholars (early-career researchers) across all disciplines. The selected 35 candidates from each country will receive up to AUD 70,000 (one-time). The Last Date of Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship is 13th November 2022.

Eligibility Criteria For Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship

Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship eligibility criteria :
** Be a citizen of India or Australia

** Hold a master’s degree (includes Master of Science and Master of Philosophy) OR

** Be a master’s by coursework student undertaking a research subject or research component OR

** Be a post-doctoral scholar (early career researcher) with an experience of up to 5-years post-doctorate OR

** Be a doctoral research student (including Doctor of Philosophy)

Selection Criteria Of Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship

The following procedure will be followed for the selection of the candidates –
** The Australia India Institute will screen all applications after the closing date and provide the AIRS Fellowship Selection Panel with fully completed applications that meet the eligibility criteria and include all supporting documentation.

** Applicants will be notified if they have not met the eligibility criteria or have submitted an incomplete application.

** Eligible applications will be considered by the Selection Panel against the assessment criteria.

Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship Benefits

** Australia India Research Students (AIRS) Fellowship Award Benefits up to AUD 10,000 (one-time)

** The selected candidates will receive the awards in the following way –

** AIRS Fellowship Awards AUD (4 to <6 Weeks) AUD 6 to 8 Weeks

** Australian AIRS Fellows travelling to India $6,200 $7,600

** Indian AIRS Fellows travelling to Australia $8,000 $10,000
