What Is CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship?
The Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE Provide the Single Girl Child Scholarship to the Single Girl Child students of CBSE affiliated school and passed class X from the School affiliated with CBSE with 60% marks in first five subjects. The scheme was started by the CBSE from the year 2006. Schools are requested to go through the guidelines of Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2022, available on CBSE website, and process the online application submitted by their students.

Eligibility Criteria For CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship
CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship eligibility criteria :
i) All Single Girl Students, who have secured 60% or more marks in CBSE Class X Examination and are studying Class XI & XII in School (affiliated with CBSE) whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500/- p.m.
** During the academic year, shall be considered for the purpose. In the next two years, the total enhancement in tuition fee in such school shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee charged.
NOTE: NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRIs has been decided maximum of Rs. 6,000/- per month.
ii) The scholarship shall be awarded to Indian Nationals only.
iii) The student must continue her school studies in Class XI and XII in school as stated above in para 3(i).
iv) Candidate who have passed CBSE Class X Examination in 2022 will be considered.
v) A Scholar under the scheme while availing scholarship can enjoy other concession(s) given by the school in which she is studying other organization(s).
How To Apply For CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship?
You can apply for CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship by following the below steps,
Steps :
Step-1 : School can login through link provided above -> Select Scholarship.
Step-2 : Enter school’s existing credential as used for various examination activities
Step-3 : After login, a list of application will be shown of the applicant’s belonging to school
Step-4 : Check the details of the applicant and select Approved or Rejected, as the case may be, after proper verification of application against the scholarship eligibility guidelines
Step-5 : Upon updating the status the same will be visible to applicant
Step-6 : Once the details are verified and status updated, further changes cannot be made.
Step-7 : Student can also follow up with school in case of application is being shown pending
Note: No offline application/hardcopy of request for scholarship will be accepted
Selection Procedure For CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship
CBSE Merit Single Girl Child Scholarship Selection Procedure :
a) Student should have passed Class X Examination from the CBSE and secured 60% or more marks.
b) For Renewal : Should have received CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship last year and should be a student of CBSE in class XI in the previous year and have scored 50% or more marks in Class XI and promoted to class XII
c) Pursuing Class XI & XII from CBSE affiliated Schools.
d) Student(Girl) should be ONLY CHILD of their parents.
e) Tuition fee should not be more than Rs. 1,500/- per month in Class X and 10% enhancement for Class XI & XII.
f) All the applications must be verified from the present school where the student is studying. In case applications are not verified the same will be rejected. The facility of processing the application is provided to school where the candidate is studying
