Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship, an applicant must-
** Belong to Scheduled Caste
** Be a domicile of Puducherry
** Have passed the higher secondary examination or equivalent
** Be studying in professional courses in Government/Government recognized private colleges sponsored by CENTAC or got directly admitted in Central/State/UT government-run institutions/colleges on their own merit
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the Puducherry Dr Ambedkar Financial Assistance Grant 2020-21.
Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of National Scholarship Portal through the URL provided above.
Step 2 : Then Select State Schemes tab and Click on Puducherry in the drop down list.
Step 3 : After that Click the link in the “Dr Ambedkar Financial Assistance Grant” under Puducherry
Step 4 : Read the Instructions enter your Application Id, Password and Captcha for Login.
Step 5 : After Login to your account select the Scholarship scheme and fill the required details to apply for the scholarship.
Step 6 : If you are a New User then Click on the Register link in the Login Page.
Step 7 : Enter all required details for registration to get your user id and password. After register your account you can Login and apply the scholarship.
Step 8 : After complete your application you will get a confirmation message to your registered email id & mobile number.
Note : Application complete in all respects, shall be submitted to the Head of the Institution/School.
Documents Required
** Domicile certificate
** A passport size photograph
** Self-attested copies of certificates, diplomas, degree, etc
** Caste certificate duly signed by an authorised Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tehsildar
** Income declaration certificate from the parents/guardians
Benefits
The selected students will receive benefits as follows –
** Fees fixed by the Fee Committee or actual fees payable by the student
** Mess fees of INR 1,300 per month or actual (whichever is less)
** Room rent of INR 700 per month or actual (whichever is less) for hostellers
** Maintenance allowance of INR 1,000 per month for day scholars
Selection Criteria
** All eligible Scheduled Caste candidates will be given scholarships as prescribed in this Scheme
** Candidates belonging to one State but studying in another State will be awarded scholarships by the State to which they belong and will submit their applications to the competent authority in that State.
