Eligibility
a) Should be the First Year student of
i. Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution.
OR
ii. 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT.
OR
iii. Course, other than those listed in under merit-cum-means scholarship scheme. The names of courses listed under Merit-cum-means scholarship are given in See Instructions for details.
b. Should belong to Minority Community (Muslim/ Christian/ Buddhists/ Sikh/ Zoroastrians or Parsis).
c. Should have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous Board/ University Examination.
d. The Annual Family Income should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.
e. Should not be availing any other Scholarship or Stipend.
Rate of Scholarship
An amount equivalent to Admission and Course/Tuition Fee and Maintenance allowance, subjected to a maximum ceiling. See Instructions for details.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Kerala Directorate of Collegiate Education through the URL provided above.
Step 2 : Then Click on the “Post Matric Scholarship For Minorities” under Types of Scholarship.
Step 3 : Click on “Apply Online” link. It will take you to NSP portal
Step 4 : Fill the application form and Submit.

b. Scholarships will not be given to more than two students in a family.
c. The scholarships will be sanctioned in accordance with the criterion laid down by the Central Government.

Answer: In order to apply online Please visit the website through URL www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in
Q. No.2 : What is the last date for submitting applications online?
Answer:Please see the notifications for corresponding scholarship. Also click on the scholarship, which gives the start and end date for online registration
Q. No. 3 : Can I edit the information already saved and up to what time?
Answer:: Allows the candidate to edit his/ her personal details related to Online Registration. This feature has restrictions if the application is verified by the Institution.
Q. No.4 : Which fields in the application form are mandatory?
Answer:Fields provided with red asterisk mark are mandatory fields
Q. No. 5: What happens, if I detect mistakes after forwarding the applications to the institutes?
Answer:You should intimate the institution regarding the mistakes. The institution can revert the verification status, which allows you to edit the details. Correct the details, take the print out and resubmit the print out to the institution for online verification.

Answer:This will facilitate to authenticate your Identity and will help in avoiding duplication

Q. No.8: What should I do, if I do not find my institute name in the drop- down menu?
Answer:You should immediately approach the institute to contact Scholarship Office .
Q. No.9 : What is to be done after submitting the online application ?
Answer:After submitting the application online, you should take a print out of the application, sign and submit it with requisite/supporting documents to your institution.
Q. No. 10 : How to check the status of my application?
Answer:By logging-in with your registration Id ,date of birth and password you can check the status of your application anytime. In the home page, ‘Registered students list’ link also provides the status of your application.
Q. No. 11: What if I forget my Password
Answer:You can contact the institution, and request for resetting your password
Q. No.12 : How I can apply one or more scholarship?
Answer:Once you have registered online, you can login with registration ID and select scholarship details and apply for the required scholarship(s).
Q. No. 13: Can I take print-out of my application at any stage?
Answer:Yes. Do ‘Candidate Login’ and take print out using the link ‘View/ Print Application’
