Objective
The Teach For India Fellowship program is an opportunity for India’s brightest and most promising youth, from the nation’s best universities and workplaces, to serve as full-time teachers to children from low-income communities in some of the nation’s most under-resourced schools.
Eligibility
In order to be eligible to apply to the Fellowship program, you must be an Indian Citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India, you must have graduated with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree by June/July 2021, and this must be your first application to the 2021 cohort of the Teach For India Fellowship.

Step 2 : Read the instructions carefully and click on the “Start Your Application Now” button.
Step 3 : Enter Your Email to Continue
Step 4 : Fill the Registration Form with the required fields and click on Register button
Step 5 : Fill the remaining details to complete your application.
Selection Process
Stage I
The Application Form & Online Test :
Your application will help us understand your experiences, your motivations to join Teach For India and why you would be a strong fit for the Fellowship. Your application includes a 1-hour online test, which focuses on your situational judgement and English language abilities.
This must be completed within 72 hours (3 days) after you submit the application form. Your application will be considered complete only after you submit the test.
Stage II
The Phone Interview :
After we have reviewed your application form and online test results, we may have some additional questions for you. If so, you will be invited to attend a 30-minute phone interview.
We will ask follow-up questions to gather further information that will be helpful in our evaluation.
Stage III
The Assessment Centre :
If successful in your Application or Phone Interview, we will invite you to the Assessment Centre, which is the final stage of our selection process.
Here, you will teach a 5-minute lesson, take part in a group activity and complete a short problem-solving activity. You may also have an hour-long personal interview with one of Teach For India’s community members.
Application Deadlines & Outcome Dates
Based on the date that the application form is submitted, you will be a part of one of our four application rounds. An applicant can apply only once during each selection cycle.
Hence, be sure that you submit your best and also complete the online test within 72 hours (3 days) of submitting the form.

FAQs
1. Will we be paid our stipends?
All our Staff salaries and Fellow stipends are secure. Our core work will not get impacted. Our Fellows, Students and communities are our first priority and of the extreme importance to us.
2. How much will I be paid during the Fellowship?
Teach For India Fellows will be paid a salary of Rs. 20,412 per month. If required to relocate from their home city, Fellows will be given a housing allowance ranging from Rs.5,300 to 10,000, depending on the city in which they will stay. In addition, Fellows will receive an allowance for school supplies.
3. Where will I be teaching?
Teach For India Fellows will be placed in low-income schools in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. All Fellows will be required to reside in one of these cities during the period of the Fellowship.
If you are unable to do so, please note that we will expand into more cities in the upcoming years, and hope to be in 10 cities and their surrounding rural areas within the next 5 years.
