COVID 19 Support Programme for Daily Wage Workers and Migrant Laborers is an initiative of Buddy4Study India Foundation to financially support daily wage workers and migrant laborers who are facing severe hardship due to the ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.

COVID 19 has unexpectedly slowed down the economic activities. In India, the majority of workforce which is engaged in the unorganized sector is stuck without any income.

Migrant laborers and their families are staring at uncertain times. In this moment of crisis, these families across India need urgent support for their survival.

Eligibility

** The applicant must have annual family income should be less than INR 3,00,000 (3 lakhs) per annum.
** Must be either daily wager or laborer
** Must be an Indian citizen

Step 3 : You will now be redirected to the ‘COVID 19 Support Programme for Daily Wage Workers and Migrant Laborers’ detail page.
Step 4 : Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button to begin the application process.

Step 5 : Fill the required details in the online application form.

Step 6 : Upload the necessary documents as part of the application process.
Step 7 : Click on the ‘Submit’ button to complete the application process.

Documents Required

The following documents are required to be uploaded at the time of application

** Photographs of daily wage earner/laborer
** Aadhaar card
** Address proof
** Annual income certificate
** Bank account details of the applicant (cancelled cheque/passbook copy)

Scholarship Amount

Students can receive scholarship upto Up to INR 10,000 (3 months of support)

Selection Process

The beneficiaries will be selected based on their family income and their crisis situation.

The key steps of the selection process are mentioned below :
** Screening of applications based on financial need and level of crisis based on documents provided
** Telephonic verification for further shortlisting
** Video conference interaction for final selection (if required)

Sub: – Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund for- DRY Ration Supply to the poor Families:-
Dear Sir/ Madam,
Greetings from .K.Senthikumar, Managing Trustee, People Awareness And Legal Aid Movement – PALAM, Periyanayakipuram, Thiruthuraipoondi – 614 713.Thiruvarur District, Tamil Nadu, India.
As you know, Covid 19 infection is spreading very rapidly all over the country. Covid 19 proved to be deadly and is threatening the entire human race. Till date, over 115 000 and above people have been killed by this lethal virus across the world.
At this time of Curfew is not allowing workers to work and earn. Monthly salary holder and assured workers are getting alternative from Department, Company or Industry. But daily wages workers are belonging to unorganized sector are losing their earning and their daily wage is only Present for their survival and other needs. Now they can’t earn and so their families will fall under severe crisis and Hunger.
So Govt/NGO/CSR company must give bread to them immediately for averting from starvation and its impacts. Food and other essential need should be provided. It will save their family members from crisis, hunger and other health issues.

This project give Food Supplies (Dry Ration)support for 550 daily wage workers Families, who are being without work and no wage and so their survival under crisis due to Corvid-19 curfew. They will have food package for 6 months duration. They are belonging to Thiruthuraipoondi Municipal Area of Tiruvarur district.
The six month project will protect 550 families/2750 members of the families from hunger and other issue. Beneficiaries are both male and female but 60 % female are direct beneficiaries. The beneficiaries are as house maid, brick making worker, fish processing, construction workers, laborers in daily market and loading & unloading worker.
Municipalities, Health department and revenue department will be involved in the project. Staff and volunteer are engaged. Rice, Groceries, Dhal, Oil, Vegetable and milk powder are in the package.
Monitoring will be done by Project Coordinator and evaluation & reporting will be prepared and sent in the completion of the project.
By this project, 2750 people are freed from hunger and nutrient deficiencies. So they will have good health and anti-biotic. They will withstand to face the crisis and preventing Covid-19.
We would like to request you to kindly help us by reach out to many more vulnerable community people and save them from Coronorvius infection.
