Combined Merit Scholarship :

The Merit Scholarship is always published by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and furnished the same to the Director of Higher Education for selected the Meritorious students for awarding scholarships as per marks obtained in Higher Secondary Final Examination.

Applications are invited from the deserving students for the Combined Merit Scholarship for Degree and P.G. (Master Degree) Course for 1st Year Students studying in any recognized Colleges/ Universities in the State and other States of the Country.

The scholarship will be awarded only to the students with uniformly good Academic records and who have obtained at least 60% marks in the last qualifying examinations (Le. H.S./T.D.C.). Intending candidates will have to submit their application duly filled up in the Prescribed Form (Hard Copy) alongwith all related papers attested by the Gazetted Officer to the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam, Kahilipara, Guwahati- 781 019 on or before 28th November,2015 positively through the head of the Institution.Intending candidates may collect the Application Form from the Director of Higher Education, Assam’s Website .

If a student is selected and receiving scholarship for installment, then the Principal of the institution will have to submit the proposal for renewal scholarship who are promoted to the next year class with tenability certificate on the basis of regular attendance and good conduct of the students alongwith the Utilisation Certificate of the previous amount provided to the students.

Nos. of Scholarship- Rate :
1) 200 Nos. for Degree Course -Rs. 150/- P.M.
2) 100 Nos. for PG. Course- Rs. 250/- P.M.

Scholarships :
The Directorate, since its inception, has been giving away scholarships to needy and meritorious undergraduate as well as postgraduate students every year. The following is a list of such provisions:
1) M.Phil Scholarship 25
2) Ph.D. Scholarship 25
3) Combine Merit Scholarships 300
4) National Merit Scholarships 300

P.G. Research Scholarship :
Application are invite by the Director of Higher Education, Assam through Advertised and a committee in constituted by Govt. and selected the eligible students for P.G. Research Scholarship in every year.

Combined Merit Scholarship :
The Merit Scholarship is alloways published by the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council and furnished the same to the Director of Higher Education for selected the Meritorious students for awarding scholarships as per marks obtained in Higher Secondary Final Examination.

National Merit Scholarships :
The National Merit Scholarship had been discontinued by Govt. of India from April,2007 as inform by Assam Higher Secondary Education council Govt. may be informed accordingly.

National Merit Scholarship for Non-Hindi Speaking Students :
Application are invited by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, through Advertisement from the Non-Hindi speaking eligible students. Accordingly the Director of Higher Education, Assam selected candidates as per to marks prescribed in the Advertisement.
