Who Can Apply?
** Third Renewal students studying in Govt/Aided institutions in Kerala are only eligible
** First Renewal Students who received Suvarna jubilee, State Merit scholarships ,DCE etc cannot renew HE Scholarship,they have to refund the other scholarship and it,for that you have to contact the concerned scholarship which you received.
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for Higher Education Scholarship Renewal 2019-20.
Steps :
Step 1 : Visit the official website of Kerala State Higher Education Council through provided above.
Step 2 : Next, click on the “Online Registration Renewal” link in the menu bar.
Step 3 : Fill the registration form with the following details,
** Select Your Scholarship Type
** Select Your State
** Select Your District
** Select Your Institution Type
** Select the Scholarship awarded institution name
** Select the Scholarship awarded year
** Select the Name of the student
** Enter Your Date of birth * (dd/mm/yyyy)
** Enter Your Registration ID*
Step 4 : Finally click on “Submit” button
Documents Required
(i) Copy of SSLC Certificate attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer to prove nativity, age & date of birth. (those who passed SSLC equivalent examination should submit nativity certificate from the village officer and the same should be attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer)
(ii) Copy of Mark List of SSLC/Equivalent attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iii) Copy of Mark List of Plus Two/Equivalent examination attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(iv) Copy of the front page of the Bank Pass Book attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer (Candidate Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, Address should be clearly visible)
(v) Candidates belongs to BPL category should submit certificate attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer. (Certificate from Panchayat Secretary, Municipal Secretary, Corporation Secretary, Village Extension Officer)
(vi) Physically challenged students should submit medical certificate to prove 40% or more disability from a government medical board, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(vii) SC/ST students should submit certificate from Village officer/Tehsildar, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
(viii) OBC candidates should submit Non-creamy layer certificate from village officer, attested by Principal/Gazetted Officer.
Scholarship Details
Higher Education Scholarship Scheme was framed and launched in 2009. One thousand first year undergraduate students who pursue studies in science, humanities, social science, and business study streams in Government/Aided Colleges and Universities of the State are selected for the scholarships every year.
The scholarships of the awardees so selected would be renewed in the ensuing years till they complete their post graduation. Students pursuing professional courses are not eligible for Higher Education Scholarships of the Council.
Scholarship Amount
For Degree Course :
** First Year -Rs.12000/-
** Second Year – Rs.18000/-
** Third Year – Rs.24000/-
Post Graduate – Continuing Education :
** First Year – Rs.40000/-
** Second Year – Rs.60000/-
Note : Candidates with disability over 40% will get additional 25% of the scholarship amount
Important Dates
** Higher Education Scholarship Renewal Ends on 05/03/2020.
** College Online Verify and Approval on or before 20/03/2020.
** Colleges must send hard copies of Renewal Application on or before 31/03/2020
