SG GSC CSR Activities:
The programs that we undertake can broadly be divided into the following categories:

Corporate Philanthropy :
This includes two flagship initiatives of SG GSC:

Talent Scholarship Program :
The SG GSC India Talent Scholarship program focuses on facilitating the higher education of deserving students with financial difficulties, in premier management and technical institutes across India. Since its launch in 2010, the program has provided scholarships to 63 students from prestigious institutes such as
** the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA),
** the Indian Institute of Management, Tiruchirappalli (IIMT),
** the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIMB),
** the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIMK),
** the Indian School of Business (ISB), and the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB).

Secondary Education Scholarship Program:
Free education from the government ceases when underprivileged children achieve the secondary education milestone. The probability of students dropping out of school is most during this phase. We launched a scholarship program to sponsor the education of deserving students from needy backgrounds, and to commemorate 15 years of SG GSC.

Programs Focused on Education for Children and Women Including Women Empowerment Programs:
We partner with charity institutions to promote and sponsor programs focused on integrated and alternate methods of formal education and vocational training. We also have a systematic focus on children with special needs. Some of our projects provide an opportunity to disadvantaged women to gain essential skills that could help them gain employment, economic independence and augment household income.

One of our key focus areas has been an inclusive and sustainable project using the sport for development approach to empower marginalized children in urban slums. We have also participated in an innovative feeding program which sponsors nutritional midday meals for students in government schools to enable increase in enrollment, attendance and classroom participation.

Employee Volunteering Initiatives :
We strive to inspire social action in our employees and provide them with opportunities to volunteer for sociallyrelevant causes. The SG GSC Employee Club facilitates programs through the year tosupport causes aligned to the organization’s core values.

SG Group Initiatives :
Societe Generale provides a wide range of opportunities for its employees to get involved in philanthropic efforts at the Group level.
