To provide an Opportunity to Talented & Meritorious Girls from Economically Weaker Section of Society to Continue Pursuing their Academic Goals through Scholarship, Education Counseling, Coaching, Training and Mentoring Programs directed towards their overall Personality Development thereby preparing them for quick gainful employment and achieving workplace success.?

Under the Right to Education (RTE) Act, passed in 2009 by Government of India, a free and compulsory education is guaranteed for all children aged between 6 and 14, and the most recent figures for primary school enrollment stand at an impressive-sounding 98%.

However girls and marginalized groups such as the very poor and the disabled, are often left behind. While girls attend primary school in roughly equal numbers to boys, the gap widens as they get older and are forced to drop out to help with work at home, outside or get married.

Of the “out-of-school children”, one survey reported that about 62% were girls; they make up two-thirds of all illiterate 15 to 24-year-old’s. This is the target group for Avasar to extend support for education up to employment. Please look around here and see what we are doing and we are sure you would like to support us too.

Our Strategy is aimed at permanently getting underprivileged girls out of cycle of poverty by ensuring that they do not drop out of education and acquire employability skills and knowledge. Each batch we would enroll to support would remain under Avasar’s care for a minimum period of 5 years (when enrolled soon after 10th Std.) i.e. until they complete their Graduation as per 10+2+3 education system prevailaing in India. We have our first batch of 7 Girls enrolled during June 2013. Every year a batch of 7 will be added until we reach 5 years by when the first batch begins graduating.

Our Governing Council will review the progress made and process maturity at Bangalore, before opening up similar Centers at Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai where most of Donors come from.

Our Vision, Mission and Goals are an acknowledgement of our Strategy spelled out above.

Vision :
No Girl Child will discontinue education due to economic hardship.

Mission :
Our mission is to arrest the discontinuation of education of talented & meritorious girls due to economic hardship by providing them with a scholarship support for pursuing their academic goals, leading to an improved quality of life in the future.

Goal :
To provide an Opportunity to Talented & Meritorious Girls from Economically Weaker Section of Society to Continue Pursuing their Academic Goals through Scholarship, Education Counseling, Coaching, Training and Mentoring Programs directed towards their overall Personality Development thereby preparing them for quick gainful employment and achieving workplace success.?
