Guidelines :

** Only students may apply for the scholarship.
** Only applicants entering their first year of college are eligible for the scholarship.
** Nanubhai Scholarships may be used for the following Bachelor degree programs Architecture, Business Administration, Charter Accounting, Commerce, Computer Applications, Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Computer, etc.), Hotel Management, Homeopathic Medicine, Law, Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Pharmacology, Physical Therapy, Science (Biology, Chemistry, etc.)
** These non-degree programs will also be considered : Nursing
** Recipients are required to sign a scholarship agreement that details expectations laid out by the scholarship program for the scholarship recipient. The recipient must sign this agreementin person.
** Scholarship recipients are chosen at the discretion of the Nanubhai Education Foundation Scholarship Committee. All decisions are final.

Selection Criteria :

** Selection of scholarship recipients is based on both financial need and academic merit.
** Financial need is determined by the a number of factors, including but not limited to the household Income Certificate issued by the Taluka Revenue Officer/Mamlatdor that is submitted with the application.
** Academic merit is measured by the applicant’s marks on the 10th, 11th and 12th standard exams. The student must rank at least 55% on the 12th standard exam to receive the scholarship.

Decision Timeline :

** Upon receipt of completed applications, the Scholarship Committee will rank applicants according to financial need and other components of the application.
** Depending on 12th standard exam marks, the ranking may change.
** Scholarship recipients will be notified in the beginning of June. All Scholarship Agreements must be signed by 1 July, 2015.
** Scholarship money will be disbursed directly to Scholarship Winners once school fees receipts are submitted to N.E.F., not later than 15 August 2015.

Disbursement :

** The amount of each scholarship is dependent on the total fees (tuition, housing, textbooks, etc.) charged for the applicant’s college seat but will not exceed Rs. 30,000 per applicant.
** Nanubhai will pay college expenses up to 90% of total cost up to Rs. 33,000. Recipients will be responsible for the remaining costs.

Scholarship Application Instructions :

Step 1 :
Gather xeroxes of the following documents :
a) Mark sheet from 10th-11th, signed by head of institution.
b) Income certificate from Taluka Revenue Officer/Mamlatdar (official copy)
c) Ration card
d) Secondary School Leaving Certificate
e) Copy of Resident Card
f) Copy of Aadhar Card

Step 2 :
Complete all sections of the application form. For section B, please continue onto the back of the paper if you need more space for additional household members. Be sure to answer all questions legibly and completely and to neatly circle items that require circling.

Step 3 :
Paste one passport-sized photo into the marked box.

Step 4 : Sign and date your application. Ask a parent or legal guardian to also sign and date the application.

Step 5 : Make a copy of the completed application form for your records.

Step 6 : Attach all documents to the completed original application form with a staple or paperclip. You can either submit to your High School’s office for collection, or Mail or hand-deliver to :

Step 7 :
If you are selected as a Scholarship Finalist, you and a parent will be called to an interview after Board Exam results are announced. You will be required to bring a copy of your Marks sheet then.

Step 8 :
After winners are selected, they will be called to a signing day, when we will go over the process for receiving scholarship monies.

Step 9 :
Scholarship money will be disbursed directly to the Scholarship winners after they submit their receipts for first term expenses.
