LPU LPUNEST

Lovely Professional University is conducting Phase-I of National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST-2016) for B.Tech aspirants. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPUNEST-2016.

LPUNEST was started in 2009 and became one of the largest entrance test in India just in 5 years with approximately 3 lakh students registering for the same in 2014. Phase-I of LPUNEST-2016 will be conducted from 15th November 2015 to 15th January 2016. The Test will be conducted in online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed) as per the schedule mentioned under the head “Important Dates for LPUNEST-2016 (Phase-I)”

This test will have twofold advantage as it will act as Eligibility Test as well as Scholarship Test.

Eligibility Test :
LPUNEST-2016 will provide a gateway to all engineering programmes in LPU and will act as Eligibility test for admission in Engineering Programmes at LPU. For details, refer “Eligibility”.

Extensive Scholarship/ Financial Aid: LPU envisages to usher an era of accessible and affordable quality higher education to the youth of our country, as on the basis of LPUNEST-2016 score, the university intends to award extensive Scholarship & Financial Aid upto 5 lac per student. Eligibility

Nationality :
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for Phase-I of LPUNEST-2016

Qualifying Examination:
Applicants appearing for LPUNEST-2016 should have either completed or shall be appearing in 2016, in final examination of 10 + 2 from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) or The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ICSE, New Delhi) or State Board or any other Council, Institution, college etc. declared recognised by Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), New Delhi or any other concerned apex body as applicable.

Eligibility Criteria in the Qualifying Examination:
For admission in B.Tech applicant should
Score 70% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)*
OR
Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)* subject to valid score in LPUNEST–2016.

*For B.Tech Biotechnology (BT) and B.Tech – BT (Food Process Engineering)

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.

For admission in B.Tech (Hons.), Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech – MBA applicant should
Score 80% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)#
OR
Score 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent (with Physics, Mathematics and English)# subject to valid score in LPUNEST-2016

#For B.Tech. Biotechnology (Hons.),

Subjects considered: Physics, Chemistry, English & Maths/ Biology/ Biotech; other things remaining same as above.

How to Apply

Guidelines for filling the Application Form

Step-1- Basic Details

(a) Applicant Registration Details
Applicant should fill the personal information.
It is mandatory to provide valid email id.
Applicant Name, Date of Birth and email id cannot be changed. Hence provide correct information
On submitting the information requested in step 1(a), a confirmatory message containing application id and password (UTC), will be sent on mail and phone.
Applicants are requested to note down the application number.
All the future correspondence will be made on the application number only .

(b) Already Registered User Login
If the applicant has already filled the details in Step-1(a), then applicant can login (Step-1(b))by using Application Number and Password (UTC).

Step 2- Payment Details

For making payment, Applicant can use any of the following option
Internet Banking facility
Debit Card
Credit Card
Select the appropriate payment mode and follow the stepwise instructions.
Printout of the computer generated application(Step 1) can be retained by the applicant for reference.

Step 3- Registration Details

Fields Marked with an asterisk * are mandatory.
Provide all the relevant details carefully.
Select suitable slot booking method
Applicant(In case you want to select date yourself)
University(If you want to authorize University for slot booking).
Change of Test City will not be entertained.
Applicant has to specify 5 choices of exam date if he/she opt for the university option for slot booking.

Important Dates

Online Registration starts on 15th September 2015
Entrance examination dates Slot 1 : 15th November 2015 to 10th Dec 2015
Slot 2: 15th Dec 2015 to 15th Jan 2016
(Candidate can select any suitable date and test centre from the list available on lpu.in, subject to its availability)
Slot booking for online examination 01st November, 2015 (onwards )
Last date of receipt of filled-in application Slot 1: 05th December, 2015
Slot 2: 10th January, 2016
Result Slot 1: 15th December, 2015
Slot 2: 20th January, 2016
Admission Starts 15th December, 2015
Last Date of Admission on the basis of LPUNEST (without late fee) 29th February, 2016
Last Date of Admission on the basis of LPUNEST (with late fee) 31st March, 2016

Applicants are strongly advised not to wait for the last dates as mentioned above and apply as well as book and appear for the exam at the earliest to avoid last moment rush.
