Haryana Sports Cash Award

Applications are invited from sports persons of Haryana for the grant of cash awards for their sports achievements during the years 2017-18 (01.04.2017 to 31.03.2018) and 2018-19 (01.04.2018 to 31.12.2018), including in Junior & Sub-Junior categories.

Applications are also invited from sportspersons of Haryana for the grant of cash awards for their sports achievements in the Junior & Sub-Junior categories only during the year 2016-17 (01.04.2016 to 31.03.2017).

Cash Award Eligibility

(i) Domicile/resident of Haryana;
(ii) Did not play for a State/UT other than Haryana; and
(iii) Plays for Haryana State at the National level.

However, in case of medal winners in Olympics, Paralympics, Asian Games, Para Asian Games, Youth Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Youth Asian Games and World Cup/Championship (held once in 4 years cycle), the sub-condition at (iii) above will be relaxed in case the sportsperson plays for any central organization due to employment or sports training.

Application Procedure

Just follow the below steps to apply for the Grant of Cash Award to Sportspersons 2018-19.

Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Haryana Department of Sports and Youth Affairs through provided above.
Step 2 : Then download the application form from the official website or you can directly download it from below mentioned link.

Step 3 : Fill the application form with the required details and submit their applications in the office of the concerned District Sports & Youth Affairs Officer on or before the last date.

Documents Required

Documents to be enclosed with the application –
** Attested copies of sports achievements.
** Certificate/Documentary proof of having represented Haryana at national level.
** Date of Birth Certificate from Municipal Committee/Matriculation Certificate/Registrar Births & Deaths.

** Haryana Domicile/Resident Certificate.
** Copy of PAN Card.
** Copy of Aadhaar Card.
** Copy of Bank Pass Book’s first page showing A/c No. and IFSC Code.

Cash Awards Details

Team Events :
(a) Cash award will be admissible to a member of the team provided he has played at least one game in the tournament.

(b) In certain games, individual scores are aggregated to form the team score. In such cases, cash award will be admissible in either individual event or team event, but not both.

(c) Cash award per member in case of team events will be admissible as under –
i. Team of 2 members – 75% of award in individual event
ii. Team of 3 or more members – 50% of award in individual event

Individual Events :
In case a sportsperson wins more than one medal during a financial year, he/she will receive full award money for the highest medal and at 50% of the award money for the second and subsequent medals.

Chess :
Cash awards will also be given for winning a title given by FIDE (International Chess Federation), provided the sportsperson wins the title before the age of twenty years.

(i) International Grand Master – Rs. 5,00,000
(ii) International Master / International Women Master – Rs. 2,00,000
