Objective
** This award was instituted in the Academic Year 2017-18 in the memory of Ms. J.R. Bhalla, former faculty member of the Department of Economics, by Ms. Meena Singh.
** It provides one merit-cum-need award of Rs.10,000 to a student of B.A. (H) Economics II Year.
Eligibility Criteria
** Financial status; with an annual family income of less than 2 lakhs.
** Minimum average cumulative Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) of Semester I, II and III of 5.0, with no academic backlog.
** Cumulative Attendance Record of previous semesters

Step 2 : Applications in requisite format should be submitted to the Teacher-in-charge, Department of Economics

Documents Required
1. Copies of Mark Sheets of all Semester Examinations taken so far
2. Attendance Certificate duly issued by the Administration Section
3. Certificates in support of Extracurricular Activities
4. Certificates in support of Co-curricular Activities
5. Documents in support of Financial Assistance received from college, if any
6. Documents in support of Financial Assistance received from outside agencies, if any
7. Proof of Family Income :
(i) Salaried persons including those retired are required to submit the last pay certificate or pension order duly signed and stamped by the head of office where last employed.
(ii) Professional persons (Lawyers, Doctors, etc.) are required to submit duly certified copy of the last submitted Income Tax Return.
(iii) Self Employed/ Business persons are required to submit an affidavit on court paper or copy of the last submitted Income Tax Return.
Selection
** The awardee will be selected by the Economics Department following due process.
Award
** The selected student will receive the award amount by 15 February 2019.
** The student awardee will be given the Ms. J.R. Bhalla Merit with Spirit Scholarship Certificate on the Founder’s Day of the college, usually celebrated on 7 March.
