PMF Winter Fellowship 2015:
PMF Winter Fellowship- – 1st of November 2015 at Tata Institute of Social Science, Mumbai
Objective of the fellowship:
The proposed fellowship is an in-house learning sessions in the domain of personal and family life with the children at the center. It is an attempt to expose a set of students and their parents to the finer aspects of human endeavors operated in the family backdrop.
Target group:
The fellowship is meant for 75 selected students of age 12 to 14 years and their parents, who are residing in Mumbai.
Students and parents who know Malayalam will be preferable. The participation of both the parents is a mandatory equirement for admission to the fellowship.
Theme of Fellowship:
The fellowship has two forums, one for the students and the other for the parents which are treated mutually exclusive and therefore each owns distinct theme for learning sessions. The exercises for the students run on PATHWAY TO HAPPINESS and NURTURING THE DREAMS as the theme.
Theme 1 – Pathway to happiness:
Modules:
** Happy life planning
** Values and happiness
** How to impress people around you
** Good communication for better understanding
** Understanding the diversity for service orientation
** Personality profile test and Psychometric test
Theme 2 – Nurturing the dreams:
Modules:
** Dreams and desires
** How to dream and how to get out of dream
** Role models
** Dreams to live in
** Social licensing
PARENTAL MASTERY and HANDLING UNCOMFORTABLE SITUATIONS shape the structure of the sessions for the parents.
Theme 1 – Parental Mastery:
Modules:
** Make home a paradise
** Build burning desire among the young buds
** Identify and emulate creativity
** Effective way of inspiration
** Parenting v/s Pestering
Theme 2 – Handling uncomfortable situations:
Modules:
** Transition from childhood to adolescents
** Concerns and care
** Need of intervention
** Life skill education
** Dichotomy of expectations and reality
Method of applying & Selection:
Down load the application form from www.pmfonline.org or www.meritindia.org . The application in the prescribed format should come from the student with an undertaking from the parents to mailtomerit@gmail.com on or before 15 October 2015. The selection will be made by the foundation and the selected candidates will be informed over mail/ phone.
Necessary conditions
** Attendance throughout the sessions from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
** Participation of the parents of the selected students
** Adherence to the procedures of the fellowship
