Inspire Awards & Scholarship 2015 :
Science is an intensely human, intensely creative enterprise. Science dominates our lives and presents society with tremendous opportunities and tremendous challenges.
INSPIRE Scholarship Age Eligibility : 17-22 years
Therefore the Central Board of Secondary Education, joins hands with the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, to invite talented students to compete for scholarships that will support their higher study and research.
About The Awards Scheme:
1. INSPIRE Award:
During a Five Year Plan period, two students are selected from every middle and high school of the country [all 29 states & 7 UTs ] , government or private, for an INSPIRE award of Rs. 5000/- each , for preparing a Science Project / Model.
Eligibility : 10-15 years [Classes VI –X ]
2. INSPIRE Internship:
INSPIRE Internship at a science camp, with opportunity for interaction with global science leaders.
Eligibility: 16-17 years
3.. INSPIRE Scholarship:
INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) @ Rs. 80000/- per year for continuing education at B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels
Eligibility: 17 -22 years
Background:

I. District
II. State
III. National
The scheme is being implemented in the 12th Five Year Plan. To date, four National Level Exhibitions and Project Competitions (NLEPCs) have been conducted in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, in which 3437 science projects / models were selected. The projects were evaluated by a jury of experts.
Under the DST – Sakura Exchange Programme with Government of Japan, INSPIRE Awardees have taken up the opportunity to visit or tour Japan in recent years.
The Board, therefore, requests all School Heads to enthusiastically respond to the scheme by nominating two most deserving students for the awards. School Heads may also ensure that all their stakeholders are aware of this scheme, by making this information easily accessible to them. I am in class 9 and I want to a superior Science and Maths scholarship. Please suggest me for that.
I would like to know the last date for registering and also clarity about internship.
I would like to know what are the formalities to enroll for these awards?What does the internship comprise of? What is the supposed last date to register for the same?
