Tata Memorial Centre ACTREC invites applications for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) for the year 2019.

Who Can Apply?

** The candidate applying for the fellowship must have secured M.Sc. (Applied Biology/ Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Biophysics/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Zoology or related Biological Sciences) or M.Tech. (Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology) or M.V.Sc. or M.Pharm. degree from a recognised university.

** The candidate must have scored 50% or more aggregate marks in postgraduation.

** The applicant who has been awarded a valid JRF after qualifying a national-level written exam conducted by CSIR/ UGC/ ICMR/ DBT or other recognised agencies is eligible for direct interview.

** The applicant who will receive external fellowship intimation by 30 April 2019 is also eligible for direct interview.

** The candidate having qualified ACTREC’s Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS) is also eligible for direct interview.

Step 2 : Read the information carefully and then, click on the “Online Application Form” link at the end of the page.

Step 3 : Fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
Step 4 : Click on ‘Save’ button to submit the form.
Step 5 : The applicant receives an email with a username and password on form submission.

Step 6 : Use the username and password to login and fill the second page of the application form.
Step 7 : Upload all the required documents and complete the form.

The applicants must keep in ready the scanned copies of the documents mentioned below before filling the application.
** Applicant’s recent coloured passport size photograph in JPEG format
** Proof of status in case the applicant belongs to SC/ST/PH

** Proof of valid external fellowship in form of either award letter from funding agency or the hall ticket of the fellowship exam if the applicant is yet to receive the award letter or the screenshot showing candidate’s name in ACTREC’s JGEEBILS shortlist (if applicable)

** A scanned copy of applicant’s signature in JPEG format
** Bank demand draft number or Net banking or electronic payment details

Selection Criteria

The candidates who have cleared the ACTREC entrance test and those who have been selected for direct interviews will have to appear for interviews at ACTREC in June 2019. Based on this interview, the final list of candidates will be released on the website of ACTREC.
