IIT Ropar invites applications for Institute Post Doctoral Fellowship in the various Departments/Centres for the year 2018.

Eligibility
PhD degree holders are eligible to apply within five years after completion of their PhD. Candidates completed PhD supervised/co-supervised by faculty members from IIT Ropar can apply after 3 years of completion of their PhD.

Step 3 : Fill the application form with the required details and has to be submitted to the Department/Center in which the candidate intends to join as a Post Doctoral Fellow.

4. Enter the Details of Educational/Professional/Technical Qualifications (from Matriculation onward)
5. Enter Your Specialization, in terms of Broad Area of Specialization and Exact Area of Specialization
6. Please attach list of publications and patents with full references and reprints or photocopies bearing serial numbers corresponding with those in the list
7. Fellowships held details
8. Give details of employment, if any
9. Title of proposed Research and Development Project
10. Name of Faculty Member with whom proposed to work and his research group
Documents Required
1. Proof of thesis submission.
2. List of Publications.
3. Plan of work at IIT Ropar (two A4 pages maximum).
4. Recommendation letter 1 (from Supervisor)
5. Recommendation letter 2
Duration :
The duration of the fellowship will be for a period of 3 years. Renewal needs to be done each year based on satisfactory performance and the recommendation of the Department.
Benefits
| Fellowship Amount | Between Rs. 45,000-55,000/- consolidated (depending upon  experience and qualification) |
| Accommodation | Suitable Hostel/Campus accommodation as per IIT norms will be provided if requested and if available |
| Contingency Grant | A contingency grant of Rs. 1,00,000/- per annum will be provided to the Post-Doctoral Fellow for research purposes. Unspent amount can be carried over to the next financial year |
| Permission for Conference | Either National or International Conference can be permitted provided funds available in the contingency grant of the concerned doctoral fellow. |
| TA Claim for attending interview | Train fare by II AC from place of residence to IIT Ropar (by shortest route). |
| Leave | With fellowship not exceeding 30 days in a year for each completed year of the fellowship. The leave can be availed on a prorata basis for the duration |
