Who Can Apply?
The eligibility conditions would be as under
(a) Wards of serving Army personnel and MNS who have not attained 25 years of age at the time of completion of class/course from class IX to PG level of education.
(b) Wards of Retired Army Personnel, Territorial Army personnel (TA) and deceased Army personnel are not eligible.
How to Apply?
Just follow the below steps to apply for the ESSA 2018-19 .
Steps :
Step 1 : Go to the official website of Army Welfare Education Society provided above.
Step 2 : Download the Application Form from the official website or you can directly download it from below mentioned link

Step 3 : Read the instructions carefully and fill the application form with the required details.
Step 4 : Serving Army Officers, JCOs and OR will submit applications to Director ESSA, Army Welfare Education Society, Building No 202, Shankar Vihar, Delhi Cantt -110010 as per Appendices A and B duly scrutinized by their Commanding Officers/ Head of Departments.
Note :
** Only one copy of application for award of scholarship for academic year 2018-19 under ESSA as per formats attached along with photocopy of marks sheet / both semesters of the year duly attested by the Headmaster/Principal/HOD is required to be submitted to this HQ.
** To avoid any kind of manipulation downloaded mark sheet/result will not be accepted unless attested by the School / College.
** Eligible ESSA applications in respect of Defence Security Corps (DSC) personnel will be accepted through their Record Office only
Mode of Payment :
The ESSA scholarship will be paid through multi city cheques /NEFT to the applicants based on bank details and address as given in application form.
Method of Selection
Cut off percentages/grades for various classes and categories are given below

All children above cut off percentages of marks would be awarded scholarship
Award of Scholarship
The scholarships, based on the level of education for all categories are as under
(a) Class IX to XII – Rs 1500/- per annum.
(b) Graduation – Rs 2500/- per annum
(c) Professional/PG courses – Rs 6000/- per annum.
Times of India Merit Scholarship
R&W Section, CW Dte dealing with M/s Times of India scholarship allots the vacancies for higher merit bracket to the wards of serving Army personnel for professional courses ie Engineering, Medical, MBA, MCA, Mass Communication, Journalism through ESSA. No separate application is required for award of above Scholarship.
Application Last Date
As per AO 16/2016/AG last date for receipt of applications at HQ AWES is 30 Nov. However, for academic year 2018-19 only, the last date for receipt of application duly completed will be 31 Jan 2020.
I also want to apply but how and where this scholarship exam will be held and when it will held.
BSC Nursing result has declared in December last week of 2018. Can I submit the application in next year? Mark list is not yet received.
