NEEPCO Meritorious Scholarship
North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited invites applications from the children of NEEPCO employees for award of the “Meritorious Scholarship” for the year 2018-19 .

Eligibility
a) For 10+/ITI/Diploma Scholarships, students securing a minimum of 85% marks in their 10th and 12th standard examinations or equivalent apply.
b) For Degree Courses, students securing a minimum of 85% marks in their 12th standard examination or equivalent and having a confirmed admission into a full time degree course.
c) For Engineering Scholarship – Students securing a minimum of 85% marks in their 12th standard examination or equivalent and having a confirmed admission into a full time Engineering Degree course.
d) For MBBS Scholarships- Students securing a minimum of 85% marks in their 12th standard examination or equivalent and having a confirmed admission into a full time MBBS Degree course.
e) The minimum and maximum age limits are 15 years and 25 years respectively.
f) The Student should not avail any other scholarship facilities from any institute/Government.

Fresh
First Time Applicants (The eligible students who never applied before, eligible students applied before but not received NEEPCO Scholarship and the eligible students who had applied and received Scholarship for previous course but willing to apply for new course)

Step 2 : The filled-in application in the prescribed format given at Annexure ‘C’ may be submitted to the Head of HR (of their respective Office/Project).
Step 3 : The employees of the Corporate Office may submit the applications through proper forwarding to the Personnel Officer (Welfare), NEEPCO Ltd., Shillong-793003, enclosing the relevant Annexures.
Renewal
For the Students who received Scholarship for the year 2017-18 and progressively pursuing the same Course in the current year
Step 1 : The filled -in application in the prescribed format given at Annexure ‘D’ may be submitted by the parents to the Head of HR (of their respective Office/Plant).
Step 2 : The employees of the Corporate Office may submit the application through proper forwarding to the Personnel Officer (Welfare), NEEPCO Ltd., Shillong, enclosing the relevant Annexures.
Documents Required
** A copy of self-signed recent passport size photograph to be affixed in the place provided in the Application Form.
** True copy of Pass certificate, Mark-sheet in respect of last examination passed should be enclosed along with the application.
** A copy of certificate from the Competent Authority certifying the degree of Disability in respect of Physically Challenged / Differently Abled (VI- Visually Impairment, HI- Hearing Impairment & LDLoco motor Disability) wards should be enclosed along with the application.
** The fields of Employee Code of the applicant parent, Bank Account No. of the applicant, Bank Name, Branch Name & IFSC Code in the application form are mandatory.
Selection Criteria
** The selection will be made on the basis of the criteria laid down in the “NEEPCO MERITORIOUS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME” of the corporation. The decision of the corporation in this regard shall be final.
** 3 (three) percentage Bonus marks shall be added in case of female applicants for selection for award of the Scholarship
** 5 (five) percentage Bonus marks shall be added in case of Physically Handicapped / Differently Abled applicants for selection for award of the Scholarship.
Last Date
The hard copy of the application (officially) along with the relevant testimonials should reach this office latest by 31st October, 2018
