MPCB Ph.D Fellowship 2015-16:
The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB), with a view to promoting academic pursuit and research in the area of environmental technologies and pollution control, has provided financial assistance to VNIT . It is proposed to offer one Ph.D fellowship in the academic year 2015-16 to carry out research in the field of Environmental Engineering & Sciences.
The interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria mentioned below may apply in the prescribed format alongwith photocopies of certificates so as to reach Director VNIT, Nagpur- 440 010 on or before 7th August 2015. Please write “Application for admission to Ph.D. under MPCB fellowship” on the top of Envelope.
Eligibility:
BE/ B. Tech in Civil /Chemical Engineering with M. Tech / M. E. in Environmental Engineering in first division or equivalent with GATE qualification in the past.
OR
M. Sc. in Environmental Science in 1st division or equivalent with GATE/NET qualification in the past.
Fellowship:
Candidate possessing M. Tech/ M. E (Environmental Engineering) with valid GATE qualification shall receive fellowship @ Rs. 25, 000/- per month for 1st / 2nd year and Rs. 28, 000/- for 3rd year/ 4th year
Candidate possessing M. Sc. (Environmental Science ) with valid GATE/ NET qualification in the past shall receive fellowship @ Rs. 25, 000/- per month for maximum duration of four years.
The selection will be based on the performance in the written test and/or personal interview.
The list of eligible candidates along with details of Written test and/or personal interview will be displayed on VNIT website on 11th August 2015. The candidates are advised to bring ID proof and all relevant original certificates for verification at the time of test and/or interview.
