Scholarship Scheme:
The Foundation plans to provide educational scholarship to students who have good academic record and are unable to continue their education due to their financial conditions.

Scholarship Coverage:
The scholarship will cover tuition fees, books, uniform and bus transport not exceeding Rs. 20,000 per student per academic year. The scholarship will be continued for the Second Year of Intermediate, subject to the student’s good academic performance in Intermediate First Year.

Who is eligible:
The scholarship will be considered for students who have obtained at least 60% or more marks in X class examination, from Government schools in five identified districts of Andhra Pradesh State. The districts selected are Adilabad, Kurnool, Nalgonda, Srikakulam and Vizianagaram. The Foundation hopes to add more districts in coming years. Such qualifying applications will then be subjected to a financial need criteria described below.

Selection Process-Financial Need Criteria:
From among the qualifying applicants, deserving beneficiaries will be selected based on their financial need. Inability of the qualifying applicant and his family to support higher education financially will be important criteria for determining scholarship beneficiaries. Other things being equal, preference for scholarship will be given to “girl students”.

If the number of students meeting the above criteria is too many, the method of identifying beneficiaries will be decided at the sole discretion of the Foundation. The decision of the Foundation will be final in this regard.

Disbursement of Scholarship:
The scholarship in the first instance will be by way of reimbursement of the first quarter/month/term fee paid. Subsequent disbursements would be directly to the educational institution. Disbursements for books, transport, Uniform, etc. will be as per rules of the Foundation.

How to Apply:
Interested students may apply for scholarship in the prescribed Application Form, copies of which have been mailed to schools. Application forms are available with the Principal /Head Master of the schools. In case of shortage of original Application Forms with the Principal / Head Master, photocopies (xerox copies) can also be used.

Applications must be completed in all respects and contain all required annexures, including a copy of ensuing X Class Examination Hall ticket. Applications must carry the recommendation of their class teacher and school Principal in the format prescribed. Applicants, who do not obtain a minimum of 60% marks and applications without recommendation of Class Teacher and Principal / Head Master in the prescribed format, will not be considered for scholarship evaluation process.

Scholarship Award List:
All applications received by the Foundation will be acknowledged, along with a unique registration number, which must be quoted in all future correspondence. List of scholarship beneficiaries will be announced, within two weeks after the publication of results of X Class Board Examination. List of students selected for scholarships will be available on the Foundation’s website. Individual communication will also be sent by mail and wherever possible by mobile ‘sms’. (Applicants are therefore requested to provide mobile numbers where information can be conveyed).

Academic progress of the successful beneficiaries throughout Intermediate First year will be monitored by the Foundation.
