SC/ST Foreign Scholarship :
Applications are invited online for the sanction of financial assistance to SC/ST candidates who are aspirants of pursuing higher education in Foreign Universities, for the year 2015-16. Interested applicants have to submit online application.

Online Application Form For Sanction Of Financial Assistance To SC And ST Candidates For Pursuing Higher Studies In Foreign Universities
Eligibility as per existing guidelines:
i) Income Limit: Candidates family income from all sources, must not exceed Rs. 15 Lakhs/Per Annum(Subject to Revised Guidelines and Order Issued From Govt.Of Karnataka)
ii) Age limit: 35 years, as on application date.
iii) Educational Qualification: Minimum of I class (60%) in qualifying degree
iv) If the candidate has already been selected & sanctioned scholarship under this scheme, such candidate is not eligible to apply again
The selection of eligible candidates is made by the Selection Committee under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka; on a first cum first serve basis and Subject to Submission of all relevant records. The Committee decision is final.
The candidates have to present their original documents along with VISA for verification, when ever called by the concerned authorities or the Selection Committee.

If you plan to study in an English speaking country, taking an English proficiency test such as TOEFL and IELTS is a must. There are other tests as well but these are the most common and widely accepted ones. Also a score of 90/120 for TOEFL and 6.5/10 for IELTS is expected. TOEFL is for American countries and IELTS for European countries. That’s the first part.
Then appear GRE or GMAT depending on your interest of study. Once you clear these tests, you’ll be qualified to study abroad.
