Scholarship Program:
Every child has a right to education, but unfortunately many are deprived of education because of lack of funds. We, at SKVT Alumni Trust strive towards providing financial aid to children whose parents fall under low income group and are on the verge of dropping out of school due to their financial situation

We introduced “Educate a Child – Scholarship program” in 2012 to streamline our assistance to students with financial hardships.

Some of the projects SKVT Alumni Trust aspires to do are:
** Scholarships to poor students
** Books and tuition fees for economically backward students
** Supporting higher education for meritorious and needy students

“Educate a Child – Scholarship program”:
Educate a Child – Scholarship program is an initiative by SKVT Alumni Trust to help the students with financial hardships to prosper in their academic career by providing financial assistance

How many students were benefitted by this program so far?:
SKVT Alumni Trust is supporting the tuition fee of about 20 students per year and helped 6 childrens from school dropout by arranging their admission in SKVT school. We are also supporting the educational expenses of an Engineering student from past 3 years.

What are the plans for 2015-2016 academic year?:
** Provide scholarship to 20-25 students.
** Provide financial assistance to Siva Praveen (BTech Final Year)
** Mentor the students to prosper in their career

What is the process of selecting the students?:
** SKVT school teachers identify the students who have eagerness to study but have financial hardships to continue the education.
** SKVT Alumni Trust members talk to the students and parents to understand the problem and shortlist 20-25 students.

What is the school tuition fee per student per year?:
The school fee per student per year at SKVT School is 2000 INR from 2015 academic year.

How can I donate to “Educate a child – Scholarship Program”:
You can contribute any amount you wish for this program.

Can I interact with the students and mentor them?:
If you are interested in mentoring a student, you can approach us. We will provide a way to interact with the student (telephonic and video conferencing) so that you can help him in his career development.
