Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations invites online applications for NMMS National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme for the year 2019.

The objective is to award scholarships to meritorious students of economically weaker sections to arrest their drop out at class VIII and encourage them to continue the study at secondary stage.

Who Can Apply?

** List of qualified students classes (from Class 9 to Intermediate Secondary) are eligible to apply for the NMMS 2019 and the students in these lists must immediately connect their Aadhaar numbers to their bank account numbers.

** Students of NVS, KVS, Sainik schools and private schools are not entitled for the scholarships.
** Students whose parental income from all sources is not more than Rs. 1,50,000/- per annum are eligible to avail the scholarships.

How to Apply?

Students just follow the below steps to apply for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship 2019

Steps :
Step 1 : Visit the official website of Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations through the URL https://bse.telangana.gov.in/Index.aspx

Step 2 : Then click on “NMMS” link which is displayed at left side bottom of the web page.

Step 3 : Next click on “NMMS Application” link under NMMS.

Step 4 : After clicking on the link, You have to enter the User Id and Password (i.e. your UDISE Code for both ID & Password) to open the application form.

Step 5 : Read all the instructions and click on “If You Agreed Proceed to Next”
Step 6 : Fill all the columns in the application and upload the photo with signature by clicking on browse button

Step 7 : Every candidate should upload income certificate, caste certificates in case of SC/ST/BC candidates and medical certificates in case of handicapped candidates.

Step 8 : After filling all the details of the candidate, click on “Submit Application” and take the printout of application.
Step 9 : Check the details of all the students and then click on the link SBI Collect for Fee payment.

Step 10 : Select State of Corporate/Institution as Telangana and Type of Corporate/ Institute as Govt. Department. Click on Go button.
Step 11 : Select Govt. Department name as DIRECTOR OF GOVT. EXAMS TS and click on Submit button to proceed further

Step 12 : Select Payment Category as TS NMMS NOV 2019 EXAM FEE and Make all necessary entries and click on Submit Button.
Step 13 : Verify the details once and click on Confirm button.

Step 14 : After selecting your mode of payment for example Debit/Credit Card etc. Enter necessary entries and click on Pay button
Step 15 : Step 18: After clicking on Pay button, the payment receipt will be displayed

Step 16 : Finally submit the following in the O/o the District Educational Officer concerned.
i. Two sets of Nominal Rolls attested by the Head of the Institution concerned.

ii. Application of each candidate attested by Head of the Institution concerned (Attested copies of income certificate for all candidates, Caste Certificates in case of BC/SC/ST and Medical Certificates for PH candidates should be enclosed).
iii. Fee receipt.

Selection Procedure

** The selection of students for award of scholarships under the scheme is made through an examination conducted by the State Governments.

** Each State/UT conducts its own test for selection of students for the award of the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship. The State Level Examination consists of the following two tests.

(i) Mental Ability Test (MAT)
(ii) Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)

Scholarship Amount

One lakh scholarships @ Rs.12000/- per annum (Rs.1000/- per month) are awarded to selected students of class IX every year and their continuation/renewal in classes X to XII for study in State Government, Government-aided and Local body schools under the scheme.

General Guidelines

** The students shall have minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in Class VII examination for appearing in selection test for award of scholarship (Relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).

** For continuing the scholarship in class X and XII, the awardees should get clear promotion from class IX to class X and from class XI to class XII in the first attempt with 55% marks (relaxable by 5% for SC/ST).

** Students of Class IX and X need to apply under Pre-Matric scholarship category whereas students of class XI and XII need to apply under Post-Matric scholarship category.

** Students studying in private colleges are not eligible for continuation of NMMS scholarship for class XI and XII.

** Students studying Technical/diploma/certificate level course courses in Any college(Govt or private) after Completion of class X are not eligible for continuation of NMMS scholarship for class XI and XII.
