Madhya Pradesh Department of Backward Classes & Minorities invites online applications for Post Matric Scholarship for the academic year 2018-19.

Post-matric scholarship scheme for minority communities provides the scholarship to students from class XI to Ph.D (XI, XII, Technical/Vocational, Under Graduate, Post Graduate, M.Phil & Ph.D) studying in Government/ recognised private schools/ colleges/ universities/ institutes in India
Eligibility
** Students must be a citizen of India and domicile of Madhya Pradesh.
** Students belonging to Muslim/ Christian/ Sikh/ Buddhist/ Parsi, who have secured not less than 50% marks in previous final examination.
** The annual income of his/her parents/ guardians from all sources not exceeding Rs. 2 lakhs
How to Apply?
The scheme is apply through National Scholarship Portal (NSP). Just follow the below steps to apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship 2018-19.
Apply Online : https://scholarships.gov.in/
Step 1 : Go to the official Website of National Scholarship Portal and Click on New Registration button
Step 2 : Fill the registration form with the required details. Click on the Check boxes of Aadhar consent, Bank Account and Application form. After entering all required details Click on the Register button.
Step 3 : Student registration ID will be displayed. (Note down the Student Registration ID number for further reference and enquiries. Click on “Continue” button, it will take you to the Login Page.
Step 4 : The login id and password to log into NSP portal will be your Application Id and DOB respectively.
Step 5 : After Login Student will get OTP of 5 digits on Registered Mobile Number. Confirm OTP will take you to Change Password Page and Change your password as per instruction in the same page.
Step 6 : Click ‘’Apply’’ button and enter below details

Step 7 : After entering above details click on “Save & Continue” to Switch on to next Page. Applicant is directed to see the next page for “Contact Details & Scheme Details”
** Enter your contact details.
** Based on eligibility criteria of the student, schemes will be displayed.
** Select “Post-Matric Scholarship For Minority Students” for College & University Students
Step 8 : Click on Final Submit. Take a print on Clicking print Button for further reference and as an Acknowledgement.
Rate of Scholarship
1.Admission and tuition fee for classes XI and XII
Hosteller : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.7,000 p.a.
2. Admission and course/tuition fee for technical and vocational courses of XI and XII level. (Includes fees/charges for raw materials, etc.)
Hosteller : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.10,000 p.a.
3. Admission and tuition fee for under graduate, post graduate
Hosteller : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3,000 p.a.
Day scholar : Actual subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs.3,000 p.a.
4. Maintenance allowance for 10 months only in an academic year (Includes expenses for study material, etc.)
(i) Classes XI and XII including technical and vocational courses of this level
Hosteller : Rs.380 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.230 p.m.
(ii)Courses other than technical and professional courses at under- graduate and post graduate level
Hosteller : Rs.570 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.300 p.m.
(iii) M. Phil and Ph.D. (For those researchers who are not awarded any fellowship by university or any other authority)
Hosteller : Rs.1200 p.m.
Day scholar : Rs.550 p.m.

1. How do I know the name and address of Nodal Officer/ State Department of my State?
The name and contact details of the Nodal Officer/State Department of all States/UTs are available under the link of Ministry of Minority Affairs on the home page of National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
2. What is the process of verification of my application?
Your application must be verified at Institute and District of the domicile State/UT level. You may contact the concerned verification authorities for online verification of your application within the timeline given on the NSP portal.
Ministry of Minority Affairs will release the scholarship amount, only if your application is verified and approved by all verification authorities.
In case, your application is rejected by any of the concerned authority due to any reason, you will not get the scholarship amount. However, you may contact to the concerned authority for clarification.
3. How should I check the status of my application online?
You have to login under the option „Student Login’ by entering your Applicationid and Date of Birth. Once login, you will be able to view the option „Check Your Status’. Under this option you can check your online status.
